About this deal

We benchmarked Lian Li's Uni SL-Infinity Fans using our usual setup. Whilst letting them spin at max speed, they managed to keep the CPU at 40.1°C. This places them just a single degree behind the be quiet Silent Wings Pro 4 120 and Noctua's NF-A12x25. An excellent result thus far. Please note that in the case of a daisy-chained Fan wall, we are left with the first and last fans still having the hooks present on the outstanding sides. This may lead to issues for radiator installations, or you might just not like it. In these cases, you are free to twist them and remove them creating the clearance needed. If they are needed at a later point, you are always free to re-position them by pressing them in and twisting them the other way. With second generation innovations comes a 10% boost in performance. The UNI FAN SL-INF 120 utilises a seven-blade design, optimised to function at faster speeds with higher airflow and static pressure. All whilst keeping noise levels to a minimum. At its top speed of 2100RPM, these fans only produce 29 dBA, for whisper quiet operation. Plus, with a maximum static pressure of 2.66mmH2O and airflow of 61.3CFM, these are highly efficient fans to add to your thermal solution. The most recent change made to single out the issues was to reinstall each software driver one-by-one. Everything is now working flawlessly with everything reinstalling EXCEPT iCue.I have tested both versions of iCue (v4.31.168 and v3.38.88 (For Legacy Devices)) and the same for L-Connect3 ( Current version: v1.5.18 Posted: 12/20/2022 and "For UNI FAN SL-INF users, please keep using"V1.3.16.) What’s more, the daisy-chaining feature has been improved too. The Lian Li UNI FAN SL-INF 120’s connector key, that slots into the frame of a second fan, can be easily removed. Simply twist 90° and pull from the frame. This increases the SL-INF 120’s compatibility with radiators, as well as leaving no protruding parts for a cleaner aesthetic. Should the need for the key arise, then it can be re-installed just as easily.

Usually when populating your intake, you must utilise a standard fan with the cage side pointing into your main chamber. Which, if it features RGB lighting, you lose the full effect. With its reverse fan blade design, the RSL-INF not only maintains peak airflow performance but allows the stunning infinity mirror RGB lighting to be on full display. What’s more, by pairing these fans with Lian Li’s standard UNI FAN SL-INF fans, you can create a unique RGB aesthetic for your build. The software had the exact same effect. Until now, we did not have any sort of positive experience with proprietary software. Lian Li's L-Connect 3 on the other hand, is very well-designed, utilitarian, and not crowded with unnecessary animations and function-reducing images. It does exactly what it needs to do, whilst looking good and being easy to understand. Exactly what we expect.

Performance Curve

From there, the last (or first) fan will need to be connected to the controller using the proprietary single connection cable. As this review is supposed to be on the hardware- side of the fan, we will not be going in-depth into the software, but as we were forced to use it, we are able to confirm that thus far, we have not seen such a well developed ARGB and Fan speed software, neither from a Fan manufacturer nor from a Motherboard manufacturer. However, we strongly urge you to give Lian Li's L-Connect 3 a try. The software is very well designed and we were surprised by how many features, modes, and direct control you can have using it. Although we are usually trying to avoid any sort of extra software to the biggest extent possible, we were surprised by how happy we were using it.

With the Lian Li UNI FAN SL-INF reverse blade fan, you can create the ultimate infinity mirror aesthetic within your build. The RSL-INF showcases Lian Li’s stunning infinity mirror RGB, as they feature a reverse airflow design. This means that they draw air through the cage of the fan and exhaust it out the uncovered side, as opposed to the standard design of drawing air in the uncovered side and exhausting through the cage. This makes them perfectly suited for air intake.Controlling the RGB of RSL-Inf fans is simple, as you can utilise Lian Li’s powerful L-Connect 3 software. Employing L-Connect 3 you can adjust the lighting of individual fans or groups, to create a unified display. With a huge variety of colours available, multiple lighting effects, and the ability to control the fan blades and frames lighting separately, you will be able to create your perfect lighting setup.
