It is not just about saving money. I was not able to locate a filter at my local parts stores because I didn't have a part number. Telling the guy I had an 08 650 V-Strom came up with no results. He said they didn't make a filter for it. I knew that was not true but wasn't sure what to tell him. Now, after looking at the type two list, I can rattle off a few brands with part numbers and find a filter at any parts store. I wanted to do an oil change now since I have some time off work. I think I will go with Suzuki from now on since I think it is worth the extra money. From my inspection, it seems like the Suzuki is a better filter than the Wix.
