The cooling unit itself has two cables to plug in, a SATA power connector, and a pump sensor cable. The SATA power connector should be connected directly to an available SATA power cable from your PSU, and the 3 pin (with only a single sensor wire) fan connector should be plugged into your CPU fan header on the motherboard. The sensor cable relays pump RPM information to both the BIOS and to the Corsair Link V2 software, and lets your motherboard know that you have a CPU cooler installed. This is another way to do it ... setting the header to PWM mode does supply the constant 12V of power. The PWM signal is ignored. usb sometimes does not recognize CL ...must restarting pc till it fix it. (not worthing to change header, it does not solve anything and may mess it up more) Again we see the new cooler’s Performance mode tying the older cooler’s Quiet mode, but at lower noise levels. That is a big win, folks! And if you’d prefer, you can always switch into Quiet mode, and get excellent results with around the same noise level as the average air cooler. In case you needed any reminder on this point, the older cooler’s noise level at load was simply ridiculous. If you wanted to show off your shiny new build to your friends, its 54.5dB noise level would leave them thinking your PC was on its last legs. There’s no other way to say this: the older H100i sounded broken at load.

It’s a little more expensive than other options, but the performance it provides makes it worth it. My room temperature is pretty hot, 39C could be the currently temperature in the cooler. Without ICUE, the fans work perfectly no matter what is the ambient temp, accelerating and decelerating according to the game im playing. But with ICUE, the fans speed up even if the ambient temperature is cold, just to start the program.if you put the system in standby, when waking it up you must restart CL or it will be freezed and fans will not follow settings
