About this deal

Lomani has good projection, particularly for the first few hours, but the longevity is much less than Drakkar Noir. Both a spray and a roll-on perfume oil version of Dakar are available in the market. The spray has a poor opening, but it rapidly settles down and takes on the roll-on scent.

Royale is fantastic for any sort of weather, so you can wear it all year round. It is great for daytime events, whether it’s indoors or outdoors. It’s fairly versatile. Both the spray and roll-on smell fantastic and project really well. The longevity is also excellent and lasts for around 8 hours! When the wonderful Bolognese songwriter Lucio Dalla wrote his ode to perhaps the most famous tenor in music history in 1986, he probably had no idea that he had created a worldwide hit. 'Caruso' tells of his last days in Sorrento - when he probably felt his end approaching - and of his wistful farewell to everything. In Neapolitan - Enrico Caruso was Neapolitan and remained so throughout his life - it says: 'Te voglio bene assaje, ma tanto tanto bene saje! Very, very much, you know that! To this day, the homage to the tenor of the century is one of the best-known Italian songs of all time. Dakar by Al-Rehab is also quite versatile like the other scents on this list. Maybe it’s not ideal for regular use, but you can wear it to all sorts of occasions, whether professional or formal. However, it comes at a very reasonable and affordable price, so I would say that it’s totally worth it.

With that having been a main ingredient in Drakkar, it is of course going to have an effect. But that wasn’t the only one to fall or get watered down, it’s so hard to maintain the greatness of a vintage scent. Caesars Cologne Spray For Men, 4 Fluid Ounce – Another 80s fragrance, that overlaps with Drakkar, but with more of a green/woodsy finish.I will say, that I don’t think it’s all that great in the summer months. The heat isn’t so much the problem, as the humidity, which can wreak havoc on Drakkar’s performance. It’s darker, warmer, and has a different sort of spice than the cleaner/soapier beginning. It’s a perfect earthy scent, at this point, like the right balance of woods with herbs to create something quite attractive. The base notes of patchouli, musk, moss, and amber are the key players in this cologne as the dry down approaches. The notes are rich, it lasts long, and projects really well. Expect a spicey opening followed by woodsy accords peppered in with a mild citrus. Later on, the leathery, oak notes rise up to neutralize the opening. The main essence of this cologne is very masculine, mysterious, and sort of dark. But that doesn’t take away from the refreshing, clean feel of the fragrance.

Already, we can visually see that Drakkar Noir offers a complex scent profile. There were no shortcuts taken with this one. Fougères are typically considered winter scents, but this one could work year-round. Some wearers might find this too strong in the heat of summer, but spraying less could solve that problem. Butler, H. (2013). Poucher's Perfumes, Cosmetics and Soaps. Springer Science & Business Media. p.348. ISBN 9789401727341.Drakkar Noir is a pleasant scent provided it’s not over-sprayed. For me, there’s something in it that triggers my allergies. If you suffer from fragrance allergies, you might want to give this one a pass. Personally, I can only tolerate this fragrance if it’s worn lightly. Heavier use triggers a migraine. In the episode " Hot Girl" of The Office, season 1, episode 6, Michael Scott asks Ryan Howard to help him clean out his car, to impress a saleswoman who has come to the office and Michael insisted on driving home. When cleaning out the car, Ryan finds an empty bottle of perfume, which Michael claims is an exact smell-alike to Drakkar Noir. Drakkar Noir has been a staple in the fragrance world for a long, long time. It’s been so widely used, that it’s been joked about in popular culture based on guys who douse themselves in it, but there are still plenty of people who swear by it. It’s pretty close, in terms of smell, and the performance is respectable for the low price. Not the best, but a very nice impersonation. Don’t expect a complete recreation of the original, but if you’re on a strict budget, it can be worthwhile. The overall aroma is pretty enjoyable, with the lavender and bergamot opening along with a dark, green, and woody base.
