If you want to get your children into metal detecting, the DR. OTEK Pinpoint Metal Detectoris a great introductory tool. It’s suitable for ages 10 + and is a great way to ignite interest in the hobby.
DR.ÖTEK also produce another machine called the MT-XR. This machine is promoted as their top-of-the-line detector but I would disagree. The MTXE is, in my opinion, a better machine. The pinpointer probe part has a scraper blade on one side and there are also depth markings on the probe itself. Performance:
