About this deal

Metronome Types: Musicians know the importance of timing. The Donner Circle Looper offers 10 metronome types, allowing for precise control over your practice sessions and performances. It is a highly portable looper pedal that weighs around 0.86 Ibs (0.39 kg) and has measurements of 4.76” (12.1 cm), 2.22” (5.6 cm), and 3.9” (9.9 cm). It won’t take much space on your pedalboard, which is a great plus for crowded pedal setups. Overall, despite the cheerful color scheme, it’s very nicely designed. Personally I prefer something a bit sleeker like the Pigtronix Infinity 2, but this is really down to the individual. Creating a Loop with the Donner Circle Looper

Stereo inputs/outputs are truly independent. Line 1 and 2 are dedicated to outputs 1 and 2, respectively. Foo-switches aside, the Trio has 6 volume-type adjustment knobs, whereas the Donner makes do with just 2. The recording quality you get with the Circle is exceptional – at 24bit it’s on par with the Headrush Looperboard!! 16bit is what you’ll usually find in loopers at this price range. Unlike some cheap loopers, the Circle does support an external foot-switch. Something that we’d say makes it the ideal weapon for gigging!!For those who prioritize true bypass functionality, the Donner Circle Looper’s power-off process may be a minor inconvenience. If seamless power-off is crucial for your setup, you may want to explore alternatives with this feature. Advanced Arrangement Features It’s an excellent choice for both novice and experienced guitarists, offering a creative playground for looping and rhythmic exploration: with top-notch sound quality and studio compatibility, it’s a valuable addition to any guitarist’s arsenal. Turn the pedal off, or accidentally kill the power, & all your loops will be saved automatically. Useful to know if you’ve spent hours on end building up loops for a performance.

One issue people run into is with the levels of the drums and the loop. You have to set the drums quite low to really hear both the drums and yourself through an amp. You can basically get this tailored to your amp and then leave it, but it’s a bit of a nuisance at first. It doesn’t help that you have to switch “mode” constantly while tweaking this rather than just having dedicated “Level” dials. Buy the Nux looper & you have to make do with only 1 foot-switch. Whereas with the Circle gives you two (4 if you count the two volume knobs that also function as buttons).Form factor– In comparison to its rivals, the Donner Circle is reasonably travel friendly. It’s footprint is small at just 12.1cm x 5.6cm x 9.9cm (Width x Height x Depth), as is its weight. For a looper pedal with 2 foot-switches, a screen, 2 volume-type knobs 7 a whole host of inputs/ outputs, a curb weight of less than 400g is impressive!! The Boss RC series is one of the iconic pedals of the looping scene. One of the new members of the series is RC-5, with its 57 different rhythm patterns with 2 variations, totaling 114 different drum grooves. These numbers overreach Flamma FS21, which features 100 different drum grooves. The Trio allows you to do more than just offload your loops via USB. You can even sync them to a micro SD card if you wish. A perk you don’t come across with the Donner. However, the Donner takes the lead when it comes to foot-switches & overall control. While the RC-5 has 1 single foot-switch, the Circle has 2 (4 counting the control knobs which also function as buttons). The looper automatically synchronizes itself to keep in time with the selected drum pattern when both modes are used simultaneously. The same feature can also be found in Donner Circle Looper.
