About this deal

My choice would definitely be those pipe cleaner daffodils, with the felt wreath coming in a close second! Cut leaves out of your green papers. We put two leaves on each daffodil, plus more to fill out the wreath. Do NOT glue this next layer to the bottom green – just glue the four pieces of it to each other along the overlap of each piece.

Gently stretch sections along the scalloped top of the trumpet so that it has some movement, and use your index finger to stretch the base a little bit so that it looks more like a cup. Just drop the oasis foam into the water and leave it to soak up all of the water on its own. Don’t be tempted to push it down otherwise it might not soak evenly. When it’s almost completely submerged and soaked up a lot of water it’s ready to decorate. General Crafts 11 Delightful Daffodil Crafts for St David’s Day Does anything show that it’s time for spring any better than the beautiful daffodil? In honour of this yellow and orange springtime beauty, here are eleven daffodil crafts to inspire your crafting this season. I leave you with the poetry of William Wordsworth, and his poem about the beautiful spring flower which is the daffodil:

Gently push the stems into the moss and secure with a small piece of wire if needed. Continue adding them until you have a dense covering of narcissus. Finish by adding the cherry blossom as a final flourish. To make the daffodils for this daffodil wreath, you’ll need egg boxes. You can either find the egg boxes yourself, or ask your children to bring in their own. This craft is a great way of stopping egg boxes from going to waste, in fact, why not use this craft alongside a lesson about recycling? Just in time for spring cleaning and a little refresh, we have a new DIY spring wreath tutorial! We love a good wreath to welcome every season and holiday. This wreath is made of paper daffodils. You can make yours any color you choose, but we went with a classic daffodil color scheme this time. When adding the foam pads to the relevant layers, make sure you add some in the middle of the pieces of card so it give stability to the middles. If you don’t add any foam pads in the middles then it can “sag” under the weight of the other layers which doesn’t look as good. Grab the template from The House that Lars Built and then either hand-cut the daffodil shapes or use your Cricut or other cutting machine to do the hard work for you.

Cut the narcissus so that the stems are approximately 8cm in length. Make sure you keep the stems in water until the moment you are ready to attach them. The instructions feature handy photos to demonstrate to your children what each step of the craft should look like. At the end of the craft, they should have their own beautiful daffodil wreath that can be used as a classroom decoration, or taken home and given to somebody as a springtime gift.Make sure your moss is damp so the daffodils can absorb moisture from it. Pad out your twine wreath base with clumps of moss, attaching it using wire. You want the moss to create a firm, living wreath structure ready to add your flowers to. You can buy this part ready made if you'd prefer – see products above. If you’re hosting a family meal to celebrate St David’s Day then what better way to decorate the table than with these handmade daffodil napkins?

Keep wrapping the stem to the bottom of the wire. Tear off the paper, add a dot of glue to the paper strip, and secure it.

Hang the wreath up outside. Make sure you keep the moss damp by spritzing regularly and generously with water. Tend to your spring wreath daily to and reposition any daffodils that may have fallen out of place. The daffodil heads are delicate so make sure your hanging spring daffodil wreath is not in direct wind, rain or disturbance. Hung on a door under a porch is ideal. Perhaps you are looking for something a little more challenging or intricate, then these are the ones for you. I particularly love the free em broidery pattern.
