About this deal

Cordoba España – An extensive range of instruments featuring a variety of classical, flamenco and cutaway instruments. This series is aimed at the intermediate to professional player offering the player an instrument with a solid top handcrafted in Spain. Popular models include the Cordoba Solista and Cordoba 45 Limited. For most people, the C9 performed way better than its price tag. Many users who used this guitar confessed to feeling reluctant initially to spending that much on a guitar. However, when they got to play. They felt they got more than their money’s worth.

And the other is a C9 Parlor version which is Cordoba-speak for a slightly smaller guitar for adults with small hands. This is a particularly excellent guitar for that purpose with a reduced scale length of 630 mm instead of the regular 650 mm.

Customer Reviews

Choosing the best classical guitarist in the world is a highly subjective topic. Many classical guitar lovers have split opinions. However, when the topic comes up for discussion, a handful of names readily come to mind. Taking all that into consideration, the C9 comes across as a superior instrument although lightweight in construction (again like most Cordoba guitars). Its sound has been described as something with a punchy midrange.

Generally speaking, classical guitars are easier to learn than acoustic guitars. However, the gap in the difficulty of learning between these two guitar types isn’t much. With a little more experienced, you’ll come to realize that both types of guitars are not hard to play. As a result, we feel that this should not be a determining factor when deciding which guitar to learn. Rather, what you want out of the guitar should be.Cordoba Iberia – offer the beginner to intermediate player a wide range of affordable half size and full size hand built Chinese made instruments with solid tops. There is the usual cedar and spruce top variety which is pretty commonplace. However, in addition to these, you also have the parlor size which is great for players who are smaller in size. It’s a 7/8 sized guitar, so it’s not full-sized.

From an earlier intermediate stage, the C9 is definitely a worthy step up. It is feature-rich and highly regarded. But are we pushing it if we claim it to be a concert guitar? The Cordoba C9 is pretty similar to the C10 in the variety of options you get. Both guitars actually have the same selection of guitars which means more for more kinds of guitarists. So as against ‘toy versions’ like the 1/2 guitar or 3/4 guitar, the Parlor-size variant is a serious guitar from any manufacturer because the 630 mm size is taken seriously by luthiers and players alike. (Even top luthiers like Marcus Dominelli offer 630 mm guitars in their range.) And to performance, customers were obviously in love. In fact, one described the tone of one C9 guitar as being authoritative. In their words “the voice of God speaks through this guitar” The C9 guitars are also concert-ready guitars although with the lowest level of sophistication in the Luthier series.

Classical guitars work with nylon strings and some of the best you can find anywhere are the Savarez Cristal Corum strings. These are high-quality nylon strings in high tension. With the introduction of the C10 Parlor, Cordoba decided to rename the model previously titled "C9 Dolce" to "C9 Parlor." We felt the word "Parlor" was a better, more universal descriptor of a small body instrument. No features of the guitar were changed aside from the name. The beautiful thing about the Cordoba C10 is that it comes with a whole array of options. Cordoba created this series such that you can almost definitely say that there’s something for everyone in the series. So, a whole range of guitarists would find a guitar for themselves in this series. Its features-for-the-price balance is impressive. And it’s a Cordoba at the end of the day. As much as Yamaha was prized as a top brand in the years gone by, Cordoba has won for itself a great name in the last few decades. And the C9 stands among its top-selling models. Now, all that said, it’s important to keep in mind that the C10 is still pretty much a student guitar and you can tell from a few things. Sadly, no one has ever made that one yet. Inasmuch as you got to the C9 from whatever you were playing on earlier, someday you will move on to greener pastures from the C9. Just the way it is.
