About this deal

I decided to paint the British Napoleonic Highlander Centre Companies box from Victrix for this HTPE, tartan and all. Some might call that foolish, and they would be right.

You could try the ones I mentioned, Vallejo White Grey or Neutral Grey, but he former would need to be darkened slightly if you want a match for Grey Seer and the latter may need to be lightened, I'm not sure on the VMC Neutral Grey, if you want I can dig through my hobby bin and find my VMC Neutral Grey and see what it's like next to Grey Seer. Armageddon Dust is a texture paint you apply to create a minimalist look for your bases. It is a simple paste material you slather onto your base that dries into an sandy, dusty surface. You can dry brush the surface to pull up details, using paints like Screaming Skull or other bone colors. Our colours are great by themselves, but if you're looking for a colour match to Citadel paints we have provided a list here, all colours are a 98-99% shade match and compatible with all major brand paint. The Gold Trim here is done with Retributor Armour then shaded with Agrax Earthshade before being highlighted again with Retributor and then edge highlighted in spots with Runefang Steel. Here’s where things go from colorful to technicolor, with the sashes, epaulettes, pompoms, shako cords, buttons, and more. For the buttons, just use the brass technique from the equipment section. On the particular models I painted, I found edge highlights to be better looking than drybrushing for the pompom and epaulettes, but your mileage may vary. For the sash on the sword, the pompom, epaulettes, and shako cord, I used the same green technique. I've got a project which calls for a light drybrush of Grey Seer. While I know most any light grey paint would work, I thought it would be worth it to ask and see if anyone has an opinion on which Citadel, Game Color or Model Color paint would be the best match, as Google searches seem to only give recommendations on spray cans. Thanks.

That should get you through these ligne Voltiguers just fine, and those techniques will apply to anybody else in the regiment. And yes, I know I just painted Ultramarines again. You can also easily replace these colors with more standard Thousand Sons colors – using Thousand Sons Blue for the basecoat on the armor plates and Ahriman Blue for the highlights, with Baharroth Blue for edge highlights. Credit: Robert “TheChirurgeon” Jones HornsAt first I thought you were looking for a non- GW source, then I read that and worried if GW had discontinued Grey Seer. Layer Paints – these are conventional model acrylic paints and form the bulk of the Citadel Paint line. These paints come in a huge variety of colors, tones, and values. You will likely end up owning more of these paints than any of the other paint types. Personally I didn’t add grass tufts just to underscore the bleakness of the battlefield. But you certainly could add some here and there for variance. It goes on like a dream. I actually brush painted the big raised engine nodes on the prow of the bike no sweat at all. I then did some full bodied edge highlighting all the way around the bike.
