About this deal

Bose doesn't publish their replacement parts anywhere and I haven't seen any main board replacements available for the Acoustimass 300 bass module. There is one board I found, but I don't think it's for the bass module. I've attached a picture below. Can you confirm that those aren't the connectors on the bass module? Other items inside the SoundTouch 300’s box include a universal remote control, ADAPTiQ calibration headset, an HDMI cable, one optical cable, a pair of AAA batteries, user manuals, and a power cord. The only items inside the Acoustimass 300’s box, other than the sub, are the power cord and manuals. Features and design The "321 Series III" replaced the Series II in 2008, adding an HDMI output connection. [7] [8] A "GSXL" model was introduced with a larger hard drive advertised as having a capacity of 200 hours of music (however the bitrate used is not known).

If your current bass module is connected to the soundbar or system using a 3.5 mm stereo cable, you cannot connect a second bass module. The Series IV version of the DVD-based models were introduced in 2007 and saw HDMI inputs and outputs added to some models. Bose has manufactured speaker systems for computers since 1987. Some models have a powered subwoofer. The 191 has since been replaced by the "x91 Series" Virtually Invisible in-ceiling/in-wall loudspeakers (which include the 591, 691, 791, and 891 loudspeakers). Unlike the 191, which included two different styles of speaker grilles, the x91 Series included different models made specifically for in-wall or in-ceiling installation. You’ll notice that the glass top of the sub is raised off the box but a small margin. This is actually the quiet port itself. Because Bose uses a large and powerful driver, there’s no need for volume enhancing ports. The result is an explosive sound that seems to come from every corner of your room at the same time – an experience we’ve rarely had with basic subwoofers. The first 2.1 AV receiver system from Bose was the "Freestyle", which was introduced in 2002 and used S/PDIF and RCA inputs. The system used the same speakers as the 3-2-1. [9]

The company's first surround sound speakers were the "Acoustimass 6" and "Acoustimass 10", both released in 1996. [39] [40] Both products were 5.1 systems, with the Acoustimass 6 using "single cube" satellite speakers [41] and the Acoustimass 10 using "double cube" satellite speakers. [42] Bose To Simplify Home-Theater Setup With Onscreen Displays". Archived from the original on 11 June 2010. Before you can get any sound from your speaker, you’re going to have to set it up. Although it’s designed to connect to the soundbar, there are very few buttons or controls on the bar itself. We’ve been down this road before, trying to pair devices together with no visual indication. We were prepared for the worst. But what we found was a pleasant surprise. Set up was as close to effortless as it could be.

Key specs

Also introduced in 2004, the 251 Series Environmental Speaker was a larger version of the 151 Series. At the exact same price as separate components or a combo, the Sonos PLAYBARand SUBare great alternatives to the Bose and are enthusiastic recommendations at the price. Sound quality is noticeably smoother, warmer and more refined, and the SUB’s bass quality in particular is nearly beyond reproach. However, the Bose includes a universal remote, has greater input flexibility, and includes DTS decoding. An internal hard drive for storing music (in mp3 and wma formats) was introduced in 2005 for the "321 GSX" model. Yes, the Bose Acoustimass 300 Subwoofer can be wirelessly connected to the SoundTouch 300 Soundbar and optional Virtually Invisible 300 wireless surround speakers. To connect the surround speakers or a second bass module, follow these steps: Standing 38.5 inches wide, 2.25 inches high, and 4.25 inches deep, the SoundTouch 300 should fit unobtrusively beneath any TV its likely to be paired with. Inside that inconspicuous form factor lurks some of Bose’s latest sound enhancement wizardry, including its QuietPort and PhaseGuide technologies. These are said to increase bass output and perceived soundstage width, respectively. Another clue as to one of this soundbar’s key features lies in its moniker: All SoundTouch labeled devices are enabled with Bose’s wireless multi-room connectivity platform. Wireless surround speakers, called Virtually Invisible 300, can also be added if you’re looking to go that route.
