About this deal

Accessories/attachments: Small bowl, large bowl, small chopping blade, large chopping blade, fine slicing/grating disc, medium slicing/grating disc Storing discs and blades in a dedicated box means they’ll stay sharper and be more effective at chopping and shredding. Store them loose in a drawer and they'll gradually become blunter from rubbing against other items. What speed settings do I need on my food processor?

The Russell Hobbs Desire Food Processor has two speeds and a pulse setting, which is very high power and can create smooth sauces easily. It also features a creaming disk, which really impressed us when we used it to make mayonnaise, although it is better used with large quantities thanks to the wide base of the bowl. All the food processor tools fit into a handy box after use, leaving just the main 3.7-litre bowl and mini bowl to be stored on the die-cast metal base. There’s also an LED timer for counting down and up. Anything of a nature that for hygiene or associated health and safety - this includes the Outdoor Spas, Mattresses and Divan Sets

This function took a while to set up - you have to install the attachment, the nest for the discs and then the disc itself - but once that’s all done, it was easy to use. We would have liked another disc for larger slicing, because the slicing side of the disc is quite fine and not suitable for large shavings of cheese or vegetables. We also found that there was a little of whatever we sliced (be it courgette or cheddar) left at the very top of the blade, because the pusher doesn't quite fit all the way down into the bowl.

Who can argue with a food processor brand that has been around since 1974? Magmix first hit UK shelves as the prosumer line from Robot Coupe, whose appliances were produced by French catering company salesman Pierre Verdun in 1960. The right one for you will depend on your cooking preferences. We've tried some masterful and mighty models from Kenwood and Sage that will last for years to come, and are perfect for family-sized meals, but some of the smaller options from Magic Bullet and Russell Hobbs will do more than enough to keep smaller households happy. A lot of these come with attachments to double up as the best blenders, but if you already have a blender you love and just want a food processor, we've included those too. After Max, you have Pulse, where the machine automatically starts and stops at full speed, which is handy if you’re making things like milkshakes where you need time for the contents to settle down. Not just any food processor, the MultiTalent 8 from Bosch features Intuitive Smart Tool Detection which very cleverly automatically changes the power settings to best suit your chosen tool, meaning this appliance is one of the easiest to use for perfecting your food prep in a jiffy.

Bosch MultiTalent 8 MC812M853G food processor: Is it good for kneading dough?

For example, there are two very similar attachments - one for connecting the dough hook and one for just about everything else - but it’s nearly impossible to tell them apart from the illustrated guide. Even if you just wanted to do some chopping, you had to put the bowl on the machine, insert the right attachment and then install the chopping blade on top of that. There’s a fairly easy to understand illustrated guide with details on how to assemble the machine for each task but it can still be confusing because the parts aren’t always labelled. The Bosch MultiTalent 8 MC812M853G food processor comes with a metal dough hook, which can be used to work harder doughs. Another unique feature is the Auto-iQ technology. Exclusive to Ninja, it allows you to tailor a program, giving you the result you want when food prepping, at the touch of a button. Although you can also control the appliance with manual settings, the Auto-iQ takes care of pulsing, pausing, blending and other process patterns in one move, adding to the stress-free nature of this gadget. It’s definitely something to consider purchasing if you like the highest quality technology for your appliances.

Accessories/attachments: Reversible slicing disc, reversible grating disc, French fries disc, stainless steel discs, disc holder, dough tool, whisking disc, whisk, citrus press Decide where your food processor will live. If it’ll be on display on the worktop, you may want to spend a little more on a model you’re happy to have on display or that coordinates with your kitchen. Please note some larger products are delivered to kerb-side (the street outside your home), it is at the drivers discretion if they can deliver the item to another location on the property. Nothing can save you more time in the kitchen than the best food processor. These handy home choppers can slice, chop, grate, and even mix homemade dough hands-free. Food processors come with sharp blades to slice through onions, carrots or avocados in seconds, and they often have pulse settings that can be used to make dips like hummus or guacamole. Each and every one of the best food processors in our guide has been tested by the Ideal Hometeam for even chopping, ease of use, and (of course) the cleaning process after you're done. Although some food processors do take up a lot of counter space, especially the ones with attachments for blending or even juicing, others will slot easily next to your toaster until you need it. The Bosch MultiTalent 8 MC812M853G food processor is not a small machine by any means - the main bowl has a 3.9l capacity and it comes with a 1250W motor - so it’s for serious home cooks who need to prep for big dinners.

How we test

For those with a bigger kitchen, and a bigger budget, the Magimix 5200XL premium is also a fantastic machine. Voucher codes The juicer was pretty straightforward - the conical reamer forces the juice out from any citrus fruits you use while a strainer catches any stray pips. Accessories/attachments:Stainless steel blade, reversible shredding/grating disc, dough blade, creaming disc, blender Ideal if you’re cooking for a large family, this model offers a variety of functions in one single appliance. With a total of 23 different accessories to play around with (including different bowl sizes, graters, slicers and blades), there’s very little you can’t do with this food processor. Slice, grate, chop, whisk, blend, juice and cut with absolute ease, and you can even knead dough. We were particularly impressed with the speed and quality at which the Magimix food processor kneaded dough, taking out so much time and effort from what is usually an arduous process. Some food processors may also be able to double up as a stand mixer, blender or mini chopper, making them a better value all-in-one buy. Where will you store your food processor?
