Scent: By Kilian Pure Oud is a fantastic fragrance that true to its name. This fragrance has a very strong oud scent and it isn’t really dumbed down by many other notes. In the opening, you immediately get the scent of oud. However, it is slightly balanced with an animalic, almost leathery scent. After a little while, you can notice a subtle scent of woods and even a slight hint of spices. However, you mainly get a strong, bold, yet inoffensive oud fragrance.

Notes: The top note of By Kilian Incense Oud are cardamom, pink pepper, Turkish rose, geranium, and grapefruit. The middle notes are cedarwood, patchouli, and Indian papyrus. The base notes are Incense oil, Incense absolute, sandalwood, oakmoss, labdanum, and musk. After a little while, the spices get accompanied by a beautiful mixture of florals. You’ll mainly get the scent of rose, but there are other floral notes as well. The rose heavy addition prevents this fragrance from becoming sweet. This keeps the fragrance as it’s supposed to be, a strong, provocative, dirty oud fragrance. In this case, dirty means perfect, as it truly brings out the beauty of the note of oud, which is absolutely gorgeous.

Albeit a bit on the linear side, every now and then you’ll get hit with a new note, which adds some surprises along the way. Scent: By Kilian Intoxicated is one of the best known By Kilian fragrances, and with good reason. This fragrance is a beautiful gourmand fragrance with a spicy, coffee scent. This fragrance opens with a very nice scent of coffee and cinnamon with a soft, boozy undertone. After a little while, you can start to notice some more sweet notes, blending perfectly with the coffee scent. The dry down of this fragrance makes this scent smell a little herbal and nutty. This nutty fragrance beautifully adds to the gourmand scent, while the herbals balance out the sweetness. Truly a great fragrance.
