About this deal

Raye breaks down in tears as she discusses substance abuse and 'reaching her limit' with her old record label in emotional documentary The advantage here is that it can work offline. The flaws… Well, Bat Sounds app is way too simple to even compare it with the leaders of this list. The software can mimic Heterodyne or Time Expansion output to the speaker, but again this can be laggy or broken up sound, and is worse on slow devices.

It's hard to deny, that Wildlife Acoustics ranks among the very few companies, which rather enjoys being on the cutting edge of bat detecting technology. One need not look any further than their past and current bat detecting solutions. I once read, that "If you truly love a Hobby, you want to share it with others...with everyone". And a passion to share, also seems to be the case with certain detector manufacturers. Yes, of course they are a business, but in addition to selling bat detectors...There's the subtle attitude, of wanting to share new technology with those who record bat calls. In fact, one can plainly see, that Wildlife Acoustics is one such company (there are, perhaps one or two others). Cannot charge/plug-in The iPad while the EM Touch is in use - There would be an advantage to this: Whenever the Echo Meter Touch is used from inside a house. The microphone sensitivity cannot be adjusted. The Trigger threshold cannot be modified/set. The spring peepers were calling loudly from our pond, but hearing their high pitched calls through the app came out only as very low thuds. Then, 15 minutes after the official time of sunset, I heard it. Not with my ears but through the phone. There have been several Photos and video Demos of this new bat detector circulating The Web.

The Echo Meter Touch app lets you record your calls onto your phone or tablet, giving you an exciting record of the places you have been and the bats you have heard. If your device has GPS functionality then it will also tageach call and display them on Google Maps. It is very possible to watch bats without any equipment, especially where they emerge from roosts, or shortly after dusk along well-used bat flight paths. However as bats echolocation is mostly beyond the range of human hearing, a bat detector is key if you want to hear bats to locate their presence, learn more about them, and be able to understand the differences between species. If your phone or tablet is GPS enabled, the Echo Meter Touch 2 records GPS data for each recording and embeds it in the metadata for that file. In the app you can look at a GPS view to see where all your recordings were made and follow the path you used between recordings!
