Traditionally, chlorine tablets have been used in skimmers; however, we do not recommend doing this. When the pump is off, high levels of chlorine can get in and around the skimmer, making them brittle and causing bleaching on pool surfaces.

Place One tablet in the skimmer basket per 45,450 litres (10,000 gallons) and adjust tablet numbers as necessary to take account of your water flow to achieve 1 - 3 mg/l (ppm) free chlorine relatively consistently. Note: If using in skimmer baskets we would suggest you run the pump often to prevent a build up of chlorine. Please ensure children to not have access to the skimmer as this could be dangerous. Never place the tablets directly into the water. Doing so can bleach or stain the pool. A chlorine level of 1-3ppm in the water is the ideal amount. Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. If outside this range please use our PH plus or PH minus products to adjust for the best results. Never place stabilised chlorine tablets directly into the water. This can damage the pool, bleaching it or leaving stains.
