About this deal

Thank you so freaking much loves for this ARC, I’m so excited to see what else you two write in the future.. hopefully a book about Lily & Nico because they BETTER become a couple. They’d be perfection.. okay that’s all. I was excited to read this at first and it started strong. Something just missed the mark, unfortunately, because I couldn’t totally connect to the characters. Ella is an ex-champion swimmer. She won national titles and only missed out on going to the Olympics because she was pregnant. Her son, Sam, is now 10 and she’s decided it’s time to pull on her big girl’s panties and become a strong independent woman -- as long as she can do this without a pool or swimming, that is. The story focuses on the romance between Ella Davenport and Jake Honeychurch. Ella and her son Sam are newcomers to town, and the pair meet when Ella is selling Jake's grandmother's house. It's not exactly love at first sight- in fact Ella finds Jake irritating! Still, it doesn't take long at all before the two of them have fallen hard for each other! Honestly, it's a blink and miss it moment for exactly WHEN it happens!

If you have to constantly spell it out for the reader that this is grumpy x sunshine/enemies or rivals-to-lovers, you're doing it wrong. Luca has a soft spot for Avery, but cannot seem to do so without putting other women down and comparing them to her. No thanks. They also "compete" with each other, which often just ended in Avery winning because Luca loses all brain cells when she's around. If there's a rivals-to-lovers story, it should be evenly matched. That Leaders Might Last - Dave Mann Transformed Lives - Bev Montgomery Growing Great Kiwi Churches - Gordon Miller A young Mum, Ella Devonport , who was a professional Swimmer moves to Western Australia to a country town of Chalk Hill, with her 10 year old son Sam. She has separated from her husband. She takes on a new profession in Real Estate and her first assignment was to sell Irma Honeychurch's house.I've mentioned it before, but I LOVE to read about strong women and that's Avery. She has a passion she truly believes in. Nothing should come between her and her career, before she reaches her goals. I loved that and related to that so much. Reading this book was a little bit therapeutical. It's okay to have both, it's okay to let people in and still reach all the goals you dream of reaching. YOU CAN HAVE IT ALL. I truly believe it. I loved the environmental theme and that they both share their passion. An impeccably well balanced rom com. Toe curling spice scene. Dialogues to leave you giddy and excited. Teasing. And a too good to be true love interest. Avery Soko, a bright-eyed and ambitious do-gooder, is on the cusp of getting her dream fundraising job at the Oceanic Research Organization. Luca Navarro, a former corporate lawyer with an extravagant tie collection and an irritatingly handsome smirk, holds Avery's future in his very large hands. When he calls with the news of her rejection, Luca seems to revel in crushing her dreams. Under the Bridge is a prodigiously researched and carefully observed account of a senseless murder and its aftermath. Rebecca Godfrey brings a sympathetic imagination and a finely tuned ear for language to bear on a dark subject, with spectacular results."

She lay awake and thought about being rescued from the descending spiral of shabby rooming houses, each one worse. Of the diminishing of old pals, the eventual state home for the aged, recognised the fact that in all her born days of entertaining men in and out of bed, she'd never before had a legitimate proposal of marriage. A well written story that I was drawn to from the start and pretty much kept me hooked until the end.Apart from spending her days writing, Kels enjoys long hikes and watching cult-classic scary movies. Her move to the country also includes a change of career (to real estate) and separating from her husband, Erik, who is also her former coach and remains a father/older brother figure. In Chalk Hill she meets Jake, a local farmer and hardware store owner and the man who will, of course, try and win her heart. But when Bob Wall rose, his left hand held something smaller than a body. In his hands, he held only a pair of blue jeans. The jeans were covered in silt as gray as ash. Sometimes the people who are meant to love you forget how to, and you wander through life alone. That ache of loneliness simply dulls to resemble a fading bruise" In a time when the importance of visionary leadership has been trumpeted loud and long, there is a desperate need for another note to be added to the symphony. For vision to be safe and productive, it needs to be bounded by deeply-held values that can sustain a ministry in all seasons.
