but i do have to say despite me enjoying 2 smut scenes, out of the whole twisted series i felt the smut in this book was quite bland and was missing the fire and intensity of joshjules 😭😭😭 but it's okay not everyone can be as feral as josh chen, he's one of a kind 🥰The fact she made videos on her tiktok saying “well it’s my books i don’t care and if you don’t like men degrading women you shouldn’t read it” but WHY ARE YOU WRITING IT?! Another thing I loved about the series is how connected each of the books were and how you got to see the characters in previous books grow and develop as well. It was so much fun seeing this mismatched group of people go from college friends to adults managing their success and families. The highlight was absolutely reading about Alex with his children - My heart MELTED! Twisted Series So what Christian did was wrong this is irrefutable, but it was nonetheless fitting with his control freak persona. The letters he wrote were so darn emotional and so out of character and the fact he did it only to try and won her over was.. ugh! Cute not gonna lie. (There was no cheating or ow or any of that.)
this was giving the most heart aching slow burn, i lost my shit. and when the characters finally gave in, i was sent into full orbit. if there’s one thing i love it’s a broken man being brought down to his knees because of a woman. slayyyy what i loved about christian the most is how adamant this delusional man was that he would never fall in love because love is a disease meanwhile his thoughts every 2 seconds are: Ana Huang takes well-loved tropes such as fake dating and billionaire romance and mixes in a bit of danger and mystery.Rhys Larsen is a serious and arrogant bodyguard who protects important people. He has two important rules: always keep his clients safe and never get emotionally attached. He has never felt tempted to break these rules… until he meets Bridget von Achtenberg. He has little use for morals and even less use for love, but he can’t deny the strange pull he feels toward the woman living just one floor below him. WARNING! This review contains SPOILERS. Please refrain from reading it if you don't want to know what happens in the books. About the end of the series in general, it was sweet, seeing the endings of each couple so many years later, and I especially loved Jules and Josh <3.
