About this deal

In our scenario this is irrelevant and I couldn’t care less, but if you had one mounted under your bed, or near your head in a camper trailer it would probably be quite annoying. I’ve read of people wiring them up to a temperature sender (so it only comes on when its warm), but from the factory they come on and off a lot. Renogy Inverter Review It is a large unit and very heavy. I did wire a 300A T-Fuse and cutoff switch between the batteries and this unit so I can positively turn it off from inverter mode. I've had the Renogy product for close to a year and it works like a dream. No issues. I rarely connect to shore power and don't use many 110 devices at once. I connect a 12v refrigerator to the battery through the Renogy inverter. Like i said... i love my set up. Not in the unit full time and do not max out the load. An RV inverter charger, or can be called an RV or car charger inverter, the device combines the function of an inverter and a power converter. The charger can convert DC power into AC to charge daily appliances as an inverter, furthermore, it can also work as a converter that converts AC power into DC that charges your house battery.

I did my research and decided to add a a second inverter charger (renogy 3000w) just for the ac unit and 2 more batteries (200ah each) today i tested the system and its been 3.5 hours since I turned on the ac unit and everything else inside the van and only 1 bar out of 4 bars on the batteries has gone down.. im super happy with this electrical system and im already planning to get more vans done with the same system.. PS: I added a second alternator to the van (280amp) so when im driving the batteries are getting charged. We’ve been using our 3000W Renogy Inverter full time at least 3 times a day for more than 100 days now, and will update this if anything goes wrong, or changes. Running a 2000W fan heater from our 2000W Renogy inverter in the Isuzu Dmax The bigger one is mounted in our Reconn R2 Hybrid Camper, and the 2000W one is in the Ute Canopy of our Isuzu Dmax. Both have been used considerably over the last few months, with us living out of our Camper full time on a Big Lap of Australia. 3000W Renogy Inverter in our Hybrid CamperWell made and silent operation. My appliances run well. It would be handy to have a readout of the loads in use and voltage ect on the remote on/off switch This would say that their tech support wasn’t correct, but I didn’t push that hard and they’re sending a replacement. It’s a win from our end, and the other unit still seems to be working OK, so lets see how it goes. We’ve been punishing ours for a number of months now, and I know plenty of people who’ve been using theirs for much longer with no issues at all. We’ve been using our induction extensively in the Reconn R2 Great instructions, information and kit specifically all wiring is behind the end face making this a very clean looking set up. I will have to see how it works for me and my application but that is why I bought from a trusted company like Renogy.

The perfect addition to any off-grid system, whether for a van or a cabin, the Renogy 1000W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter acts as a DC to AC converter that allows you to power your household appliances. Unlike modified sine wave inverters, this 1000W inverter is a pure sine wave, capable of producing cleaner, smoother, and more reliable electricity to operate tools, fans, lights, and other electronics without interference. Many off-grid systems require a 12V solar inverter to power everyday electronics and this one includes multiple protections to help things run smoothly and safely. The AC priority switch function enables the inverter automatically switch from the battery (DC) to the mains (AC) and vice-vercer whenever the utility company takes/loses power! Pure sine wave inverters are capable of producing smooth, quiet, and reliable electricity to operate appliances and electronics without any interference. Like its name suggests, pure sine wave inverters produce current in a pure sine wave shape. Renogy 12v to 240v inverters also provide overload protection for both DC input and AC output to prevent damage to the components and the unit.Installation instructions were clear, with appropriate tips and warnings highlighted throughout. Felt like a pretty daunting project at first, but that made it easy. Be sure to research ahead of time, but if you want an off grid system, this worked great for us. Fair enough, its not installed as per their instructions, but what’s the chances that this would cause a fan not to operate properly, or other issues? There’s plenty of air flow around it, and its not getting warm, so I feel its a bit of a fob off, but it is what it is. Renogy are saying because its mounted like this, it can’t get rid of heat, and can squash the internals. Yeah, right.

Some time ago we did a major upgrade of our 12V electrics, in both our Isuzu Dmax and Reconn R2 Hybrid Caravan. Both received lithium batteries, new chargers and a Renogy Inverter each. Nice unit. Works as advertised. Wish it had a remote display, not just an on/off remote. Unit is a bit heavy, but understandable. Would recommend to anyone wanting a heavyduty inverter. When shopping for an inverter, there are two main options to choose from: pure sine wave and modified sine wave inverters. I bought the 3000W version of this unit and I’m very pleased with the quality. Works great and has a solid construction. The 3kW unit is quite large so take that into account. The remote switch has a long cable which makes this a nice added touch. The Dmax one is used for charging camera gear, Ryobi batteries, drone gear, and occasionally our induction cooktop, toasted sandwich machine, toaster or other random gear.
