About this deal

Think of this easy chapter book as a gateway drug for reading for boys who are also gamers. If they love Ninjago — it doesn’t matter what: the lego sets, the TV show, the graphic novel series — just hand them these books. There are only four but they really get boys reading. Carefully selected by educational experts, our home learning books break down complex subjects and topics into simple bite-size chunks.

We sell over 20,000 different maths books, handwriting books, revision guides, practice tests and more for children of all ages! We don't just sell English and maths, we also For pupils preparing for their exams, we also sell thousands of different GCSE Revision Books as well as 11 plus practice papers, KS1 SATs practice papers and KS2 SATs practice papers.Little Kunoichi trains like crazy at a secret school to learn the ways of the ninja. She’s a ninja-in-training. Her friend, Chibi Samurai, goes to a special school too. Some of the skills they must master are the same such as fitness, strategy, and mindfulness. Use this picture book to learn what ninjas were really like. Of course you might instead be preparing for an all-important test like the phonics screening test, 11+ exam, KS2 SATs paper or GCSEs. In which case, our extensive range of practice papers will have everything your child needs to succeed. We love Dan Santat’s illustration work. Combining it with Schwartz’s fresh spin on the Three Little Pigs ends up very cute. The ending won’t be much of a surprise for adults, but I love the spotlight on a female ninja and the happy ending achieved through practice. This book worked well even though Boy Detective wasn’t familiar with the Three Little Pigs fairy tale, as the strong storytelling and humor in this version stand completely on their own. Ninjas aren't the only thing this story is about, but my kids were interested in it because of the title and cover. Tim is blamed for everything that goes wrong in his house, including a ninja who isn't usually so impulsive. This isn't the case. He comes up with a clever way to show his parents who the real culprits are. The Ninjabread Man, by C. J. Leigh and Chris Gail

Late at night, when all is quiet and everyone is asleep, a ninja creeps silently through the house in search of “treasure”. Ed Young’s wonderful illustration help to set up the surprise at the end. [picture book, ages 4 and up]My kids are one-quarter Japanese and they wish that their Japanese ancestry is steeped in the way of the ninja. It’s not. Their heritage is actually that of Daimyo, a feudal landowner/warlord, and our ancestors are located about one hour outside of the city of Hiroshima. Engaging comic panel illustrationsdepict the story of a dejected ninja who wants to play with his family but everyone is too busy. But when it’s dinnertime, maybe his ninja clan family will surprise him. If you have a physical disability, can you still train in the hand-to-hand combat martial arts of a ninja or a samurai warrior? Kung Fu: Chinese martial arts, colloquially referred to as kung fu or gung fu and wushu, are a number of fighting styles that have developed over the centuries in China.
