Armor-Piercing Question: The one-shot ends with Fujino admitting her disillusionment with drawing in general, but an unknown voice then asks her why she even bothers, then. Notably, Fujino's answer is never given, setting up the Ambiguous Ending. unlike most of his works this one took place in the real world ,where no super powers or mythical stuff exist.

present in this work is a strong sense of pace. The pace of the exchange and progression of minute moments. It is this element that makes the story feel quite immersive when following along and definitely helps with the overall clarity. Oricon News (in Japanese). July 19, 2021. Archived from the original on July 18, 2021 . Retrieved July 19, 2021. On the other hand, manga leads to months of despondency, a working life that, while successful, leaves the creator isolated, alone, overworked, and depressed. And, of course, that moment that shows that manga can change people’s lives for the worse, as well as for the better, and end lives rather than save them. The story also ends with the question “Then why do you draw?” which is never answered and the final image is a sombre one, perhaps suggesting that Fujimoto himself regrets becoming a mangaka. Or maybe the silent answer is “destiny” and that’s the answer as to whether the previous scenes were real or not - we can’t change our paths in life even if we want to. a b 藤本タツキ×沙村広明奇跡の対談 [5][Tatsuki Fujimoto x Hiroaki Samura Miraculous Dialogue [5]]. shonenjump.com (in Japanese). This is a true expression from the artist, and a tribute to the world of creations and the creative process.

First of all, many already love him, so most don't talk about it, but Fujimoto's style is pretty scribbly. I love it because of that, but I can see it totally affecting his own self-esteem as an artist when he was young. And so he writes Fujino, the main character of the story. While her friends love her manga because it's clever and fun, she gets discouraged when another In the Style of: Analysis of the one-shot has drawn comparisons to the works of Inio Asano, a mangaka well-known for his own somber Coming of Age stories filled with tragedy.Hodgkins, Crystalyn (October 8, 2022). Fujino and Kyomoto have another one where they are shown having fun creating their manga one-shots and going on trips with their newly earned money, eventually culminating in the fateful news of Fujino being serialized that would soon tear them apart due to differing life goals.

relationship feels natural as they push each other to become better artists and expand their personal boundaries; becoming better versions of themselves. Watching as they find comfort and safety in one another is also portrayed beautifully, with Fujimoto utilising scenery to really convey the emotions that the characters are feeling. Yonkoma: The elementary school's newspaper strips takes the form of four panel comics; Fujino's are all gag comics, while Kyomoto's are all collections of scenery. ok first of all, I don't remember when is the last time I got goosebumps this much. and it seems that those of you who are reading this review also don't want to know about my goosebumps records and maybe thinking "wtf is this broken grammar anonymous dude talking about", i hope u guys didn't. We follow the unlikely friendship of Fujino and Kiyomoto as they become successful artists and though it is told through short snippets, it unfurls before our eyes and maps a rather touching and moving tale.Kono Manga ga Sugoi! always is amazing from fujimoto as he draws amazing parallels from the beggining to the final act of the story and does masterfully represent the characters expressions. Art: Fujimoto-sensei's art was already stunning ,but he somehow managed to evolve it even further beyond in this manga the story starts out in elementary school with both of them publishing their works in the school newspaper. I was a little bit confused in the middle of the end, and when I continued reading it (gently scrolling) to the point where I understand what Fujimoto Sensei is trying to tell the readers That moment I realized and talking to myself why tf did I choose a public coffee shop to read such an emotional manga, and I'm trying so hard to hold my tears not to fall in front of people and I did it,good on me.The development of both characters was okay but it felt unnecessary to add in the alternate possibilities as it made it confusing to follow what was actually happening. In the face of real-life tragedy, Fujimoto shows Fujino doing what we all do when faced with circumstances like this and trying to imagine “what if?” What if I could have been there? What if I could have saved my friend? What if everything was different? And in this moment of pondering what if, Fujino and Kyomoto still bond over the manga they want to create but Fujino imagines their collaboration as something different. Instead of the austere images of the two working at the same desk and table day after day, with a repetition that speaks both to the loneliness and reverence of the act, this what-if partnership is drawn with an energy and a liveliness that both girls probably wanted but just weren’t ready for. Fujimoto’s drawings of this dream collaboration show two young women enjoying the work, enjoying each other, and sharing an energy and an excitement that was probably there in real life but just wasn’t able to be expressed. Suddenly, Fujino remembers a time when they were walking in the snow, before having their work serialized. Kyomoto had lamented about not being fast enough but Fujino happily told her that all she needs to do is improve her skills. And Kyomoto took those words to heart, eventually enrolling in art school. Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The classmate that said that Fujino's art was amateurish compared to Kyomoto's, inciting a series of events that leads Fujino to an unfulfilling life as a mangaka and Kyomoto indirectly to her death. Fujimoto strikes me as someone who is very in touch with himself and his emotions, and it shows in the way he expresses what he feels on paper.
