About this deal

Following the line is intuitive, and upcoming turns are clearly shown at the top of the screen. Main road exits are also illustrated with a pop-up on the right, which makes it really clear what lane to use. As a means of getting where you want to be, I can’t fault the Garmin, and while Google maps can do a great job too, the additional options – and especially the ease of use with gloves one – can make a dedicated sat-nav like the XT2 worth the investment.

With the Garmin connected to a quality intercom (I’ve tested it with both Cardo and Sena devices), spoken route direction clarity is outstanding if set to the higher ‘A2DP’ standard. The level of detail that’s given beyond speaking road names is also very impressive, for instance ‘Turn left at the stop sign’ or ‘Turn right at the traffic lights onto Angel street’. I felt it is my duty to inform you all, that this is, in my opinion, is a serious quality/durability oversight of the Garmin Zumo.Garmin zumo XT2 is preloaded with Garmin City Navigator NT maps for the UK, Ireland, Western and Eastern Europe provided by here.

Rider Alerts - Get alerts for hazards along your route, such as upcoming sharp curves, speed changes and more. Of course, you can. However, using your expensive phone may subject it to situations that it was not designed for. The vibration can damage the camera’s image stabilization, the sun can cause it to overheat, and rain can ruin it. A dedicated motorcycle GPS is designed to withstand all of those stressors. Riders can benefit from using the new zūmo XT2 with a variety of compatible Garmin products (sold separately), designed to enhance the motorcycle adventure: Garmin has just announced its new Zumo XT2 GPS system for 2023, with some interesting features that could improve usability and also make group rides better. On-device route planningI have been in touch with Garmin support online, and they juggled me around various departments and then landed me in the European support, which I am now wait a reaction from. (I am based in Switzerland) Review and share ride details, including your elevation, acceleration, deceleration and more; requires pairing with the Tread® smartphone app. This feature requires a cell connection (for data transfer), and it requires usage of Garmin’s Tread app. If there’s no cell coverage where you’re riding, riders can add the Group Ride Radio accessory to stay connected (Warning: it’s expensive!). Garmin Adventurous Routing options find curvy or hilly roads for a fun and exciting riding experience The map screen can be customised to show what you want by simply touching on each element, and while it’s not quite as efficient a use of space as TomTom’s design, I soon tailored it to have what I really wanted.
