About this deal

On the talk of upgrades, let’s talk about the Corsairs. You can take both variants into battle with this box – either 10 Voidscarred and 10 Voidreavers, or as 20 of either option. It’s interesting to see Corsairs as infantry in lieu of Guardians, but it’s thematic and the Corsairs offer high customisability – I could list off what each weapon upgrade and ability does all night long, but the Aeldari race might be entirely extinct by the time we’d finish, so I’d recommend referring to your Codex to build your Corsair options. This is quite the sweet deal if you want to listen to podcasts or books! Especially if you’re traveling, this is perfect for helping pass the time. Here’s everything you get even at the cheaper price: Sneak into the Arks of Omen and cause some big green havoc with Boss Snikrot and his boyz. Boarding Patrol: Orks is a musclebound collection of tough-as-nails fighters led by the legendary Kommando Boss sporting a brand new model. In addition to Snikrot, you’ll board with five Flash Gitz, 10 Beast Snagga Boyz, and 10 Kommandos – who also drag along a reluctant Kommando Grot and far-too-enthusiastic Bomb Squig for the ride. Some people love the new-ish Voidscarred, so this might be a popular bundle option. Boarding Patrol: Drukhari

If your alignment is slightly more devious, Drukhari might be a better option than normal Eldar. Boarding Patrol: Grey Knights Did you know you can get all of the latest news delivered right to you by signing up for our newsletter? You might even be among the first to hear about the next Combat Patrol set, which we’ll be showing off in just one week’s time… Like with most of the new characters, they are inside a different box instead of on their own. Still, the Boarding Patrols have had some pretty decent value, so there is nothing wrong with getting a new character and saving some cash. As well as advancing the narrative of Warhammer 40,000, this book includes significant expansions for the Boarding Actions game mode. Not only do Dark Depths missions allow you to mix up your battlefields, the book also introduces multiplayer games for three or four players – be they two-on-two team matches or exciting free-for-alls. With 26 miniatures – the vast majority of which are recent releases – the Aeldari Boarding Patrol will have caught the eye of many collectors. The Wych Cults of Comorragh, meanwhile, are masterful marauders, despatching raiding parties to hunt down prisoners for the fighting pits, victims to render into gruesome stimulants, or slaves to pay off their shiny new razorflail. The Emperor’s finest are the prime bulwark against Abaddon’s nefarious schemes, and this Boarding Patrol is typical of their brutal efficiency in such matters. You’ll be able to face any foe with a highly customisable Primaris Captain in Gravis armour, five Heavy Intercessors, and 10 Assault Intercessors. This box can be used to assemble a variety of units – the recommended build for Boarding Action games is Jain Zar, five Howling Banshees, 10 Corsair Voidreavers, and 10 Corsair Voidscarred, each split into five-model squads.

Towering over its allies, the Wraithlord is both unstoppable force and immovable object. These powerful wraithbone constructs can be configured for ranged or melee combat, plugging gaps in your battleline and hitting the enemy where it hurts most. A cursory glance tells me that the Voidscarred are the more flavourful choice of kit – they have more options concerning loadouts, and cooler models (let’s be honest). That’s to be expected, considering this kit originated from Kill Team: Nachmund – so differing variants in the unit will have unique abilities. For example, the Way Seeker is a psyker, the Shade Runner can give extra mortal wounds after charging and the Felarch can throw his bird at the target, who loses any benefit of cover. Birds are vicious, after all. As a relatively high-value box of miniatures, there are some serious savings to be snapped up with the Aeldari Boarding Patrol box. Next steps for this one? I’d grab the Boarding Patrol box for the Chaos Space Marines and tact in those 630 points right off the bat. That will bring you up to 1375 + wargear. Plus, it will give you some much needed troop support. If you want to go up to a full 2000 point army you’ve got room to work with. Maybe a Land Raider to ferry your units and deliver a payload of Possessed to your enemy’s face? This Boarding Patrol contains 17 models in total – one gunslinging Kelermorph inspires a team of 10 Acolyte Hybrids, who can also be built as Hybrid Metamorphs, while a hulking Abominant is joined by his little Mindwyrm Familiar friend, and five nearly-as-hulking Aberrants. Here’s everything in the box, painted up by Games Workshop’s ‘Eavy Metal team and professionally photographed – as if you didn’t need tempting more. If your alignment is slightly more devious, Drukhari might be a better option than regular Craftworlds Eldar. Boarding Patrol Grey Knights (Allocated 1 Per Store)
