About this deal

Typical for this fan is the enormous power. A strong stream of cool air is easily blown up to 15 meters away. Ideal if you want to cool a somewhat larger room. You can simply control the Whisper from your seat, with the handy remote control. Choose which mode you like best: one speed, \’natural wind\’ or, for example, the night mode where you are lulled to sleep by the whooshing of the wind. The Whisper Flex is an all-rounder. It has 26 modes, is energy efficient and has a powerful motor with dual fan blades. In addition, thanks to the horizontal and vertical swing, the wind blows in all directions. And all this with minimal noise production. And it puts out a fair bit of heat too. You’ll likely find yourself turning it off as it really does warm things up– even things like garages or drafty garden offices.

The fan itself is a high power, with double rotor blades that pump out a lot of air while staying whisper quiet, from as low as 13db up to 50db. It can be adjusted in height so it can be placed on a desk or set up on a floor, and has vertical as well as horizontal tilt, giving you a huge variety of options when it comes to set up. My favourite feature by far is the addition of a ‘natural wind mode’ function. As an alternative to the ‘regular mode’ which delivers consistent airflow, the ‘natural wind mode’ does what it says in its title, delivering a much more natural feeling breeze thanks to the automatic variation of the airflow. If you’re sat directly in front of the fan then this 'natural breeze' feels much more pleasant on the skin than a steady flow of air. The fan head requires simple assembly, with the front cover secured by a single screw. Inside the plastic cage there’s a unique blade design with distinct inner and outer zones. The outer ring contains nine stubby blades, whereas the inner circle has seven, so long that they almost overlap. Best fan ever! I have a dyson fan or 400 euros but so happy I bought this. The natural fashion where it simulates wind like outside is amazing. In that fashion it will automaticfit the speed to simulate the wind outside. In this fashion you can still set the max speed which is great. Swiveling Horizontal and Vertical is completely Without Noise. It works very well but I don’t use it. I have positioned it in the middle at the foot end of the bed and both and my girlfriend Feel the air. With natural fashion on the fan and ocean sounds on google home it’s like we are lying on the beach! I don’t understand people say it’s too Expective. It’s 99 euros or 149 euros to have it with wifi so you can control with an app and Google Home. The fan is super Quiet. If I set it to a position that matches the air strength of the dyson this duux is very quiet while the dyson sound like a jet twaking off. A conventional fan chops the air which causes that vibrating sounds so typical of those fans. This fan has a double blade design which Fixes this vibrating for a large part. So Happy with this fan and for a very fair price consulting the functionality, innovation and design. Well Done Duux, hope you do well as everyone should hear about your whisper fans! Meer lezen The Whisper is super powerful and extremely quiet. The smart structure of double fan blades makes the product up to 7x more powerful than traditional fans. In addition, the Whisper is very quiet with a noise level of 13 decibels.

What we look for when picking out the ‘best’ fans in this category.

Out of every fan on our list, the Princess Smart fan offers what we think is the best value and balance of features for most people. It’s essentially just a high-quality tower fan with smart features built-in, which should be precisely what you’re looking for. Our only real complaint about the design of the fan was its control panel, which is difficult to get used to. The raised disc on the Whisper Flex's base allows you to change the fan's speed, switch to night mode and adjust oscillation, but we found it much easier to use the app for this. The app also handily uses GPS to determine the temperature and humidity outside. Duux Whisper Flex Smart Standing Fan: Our Verdict Today received the ordinary, non-smart Whisper White through Bol because it was unfortunately sold out here.

As for power consumption, the Whisper Flex consumes around 28.5W at full power and just 3.5W at its lowest setting. Again, you’ll struggle to find a more frugal pedestal fan, though the Meaco 1056P manages to push a little more air for fewer Watts. In night mode, the display turns off completely after 10 seconds to ensure a good night’s sleep. The display can be reactivated by pressing the control button. At the lowest speed, the fan produces only 13 dBa and thanks to the double blade design, the cutting wind noise is reduced. I walked towards it curiously. Duux mentioned the white base as well as a digital circle with 11 on it and some other symbols. I still heard nothing except the cooling wind. It’s an interesting proposition, but there’s no point adding smart features if the underlying fan isn’t up to it. We were keen to put it through its paces. Design & Features If you’re looking for a big, powerful fan to cool a living room, bedroom or conservatory, this is one of the best options out there. It’s nicely designed, easy to use and capable of pushing through a lot of air. The app and voice controls are just the icing on the cake.

Until… one day I entered a metropolitan gallery for some “eye candy” of the cultural variety and was almost immediately surprised by a pleasant draft of air. I heard nothing and tried to locate the source. It also seems consciously chosen for lightweight and strong ABS plastic to minimize the operating sound, which is a huge difference with metal fans. Remote control also works as it should and operation is simple, so that the smart section is completely unnecessary for my situation and opinion and is not worth the additional price. The telescopic stand is also an advantage with this model to easily adjust the height and was another reason not to go for the Smart. I am happy with my choice for this Duux, also because this turns out to be a Dutch brand and as a Belgian I like to support our friendly northern neighbors with their beautiful and efficient product design! Beautiful and very quiet as described, in terms of sustainability I can’t tell anything yet, but this also looks good given the design and choice of materials! Meer lezenOn the downside, it’s one of the more expensive fans and if you don’t need one that will heat as well, you could save money with one of the others on our list. So why is this not our top choice, because this is basically the best-bladed fan on the list? Simple. Price.

At some point I was pleased to hear that Mr Dyson (yes that one) would also be embarking on the shaky path of air travel. The ultimate result of his involvement, however, was downright disappointing. Yes, the design was visually groundbreaking. No fan blades but a futuristic looking ring with a strong airflow coming out of it. But what a noise!! It looked like a hairdryer on full blast….Where most fans only offer 1, 2 or 3 different wind speeds, the Whisper has no less than 26. This way you determine exactly how hard the wind blows through space. Thirdly, the 'natural wind' mode deserves a mention of its own. It may sound trivial, but if you're sat directly in front of a fan during a heatwave, then the subtle variation in the airflow that mimics a natural breeze is far less tiring to have cooling your skin than the constant blast of a non-variable airflow. Obviously, a smart fan is more expensive than a standard, non-smart fan, but it’s a reasonable investment once you factor in the costs and savings. You have four different heat settings and 10 speeds. Despite its slim appearance, you can heat or cool spaces up to around 50m square. You'll also need to set up the fan's remote control. First, you need to slide out the battery compartment – you need to depress the button on the base to do this which isn’t mentioned in the instructions – and then slot in the battery aligning the positive polarity with the + symbol on the remote. The instructions don’t say which way up to put the battery in, so I hazarded a guess and slid the battery tray shut.
