About this deal

Ovodiu, please pay attention that when I change the old cassette with the new one, nothing change and the terrible noise is remained.

While I do enjoy using shaving cream, especially with Panasonic shavers, I almost always shaved dry with the 9385cc and I think this is how most men will end up using this razor as well. It’s not a huge difference in battery capacity, but 10 extra minutes are more than welcome. 8. Colors and accessories

Diverse functions

We also have the wet & dry Series 9 variations that don’t include the cleaning station (the so-called solo models) and usually cost a bit less than the corresponding cc models.

The original models are however getting really tough to find and sometimes their price is outrageously high, costing more than the latest versions. Out of curiosity, I removed the shaver right after the drying ended and the head was a bit damp, but that’s still a lot better than being dripping wet. Since the other 3 shaving elements have remained unchanged, the motor is presumably the same, as well as the shaving sensor (AutoSense) and battery capacity, the performance of the Series 9 Pro compared to a 93xx shaver will be very similar. Honestly I didn’t expect any in-depth reply from them, and it seems that I was not disappointed in my assumption, as they just wrote the following: Besides, some internals of the 93xx are also found in the 94xx: the same battery capacity and the same 32-bit MCU.And considering that the 93xx shavers are now widely available and can cost even less than the 92xx, those are probably the ones to get. I shaved with the 9385cc consistently over a period of 3 weeks and the battery level indicator still shows two bars, so that’s impressive. Here’s a table that summarizes these differences between the most popular Series 9 models (both the regular and the PRO/PRO+ lines): Model

You’ll sometimes find them under the part numbers 81687142 and 81759573, respectively. Both will work with a Solo 93xxs, 94xxs or 95xxs. So there aren’t any new features that’ll drastically improve the performance. Yes, the battery is a bit larger and there’s that 32bit MCU, but the latter doesn’t seem to make any difference whatsoever in terms of shaving performance. The 9385cc and some other country-specific models in the 93xx generation were initially only available in a few markets, particularly in Europe and Asia. I did have a look at the “Braun Series 9 Model Comparison: What Are The Differences?” again and I could see that for some reason I have unfortunately overlooked the great comparison chart that you have made with all the comparison between the 93xx (and 92xx and 90xx models). After reading the chart I can see that the 9385cc is THE model I will go for. They come with an updated shaving head (cassette) and all the models are suitable for wet & dry use.

Set Your Price Alert!

You didn’t mention anything about your budget, so I’ll try recommending a few options at various price points and based on their specific pros and cons you can decide which one would make the most sense. The use of a pre-shave powder that contains talc and a few other chemicals can be problematic in the context of using an automatic cleaning station, particularly a Braun station that uses an alcohol solution and it’s more susceptible to clogging. It’s unlikely for anything serious to happen, but I personally wouldn’t use a talc powder and then clean my razor in the cleaning station. So in this case a manual cleaning should probably be performed just to be on the safe side. I know this is inconvenient, so the Lectric Shave is the way to go in this case. Just make sure to wait for 20 to 30 seconds after applying the splash to your face to make sure it has evaporated completely. However, if you’re into wet shaving and you don’t mind some prep work and cleaning afterward, you can safely use the 9385cc (or any of the current Series 9) with shaving cream.

A shaving head should last for 18 months of use according to Braun, even though in real life you’ll probably need to replace it sooner than that. The older 90s/90b can still be found, but they are usually expensive and are not worth buying, particularly with the risk of the middle trimmer falling apart. I often have to use shaving cream or at least a pre-shave lotion when shaving with more aggressive razors (like Panasonic or Philips Norelco), but never really needed any of those with the 9385cc. And until the introduction of the 93xx, 94xx, and 95xx models, the answer would have been extremely simple and straightforward: No.BTW, separate issue, the instructions advise to change the cleaning fluid when the lights so indicate. Is that pretty reliable. I believe is works off the fluid level. Does one sometimes have to change it earlier because the solution gets dirty enough that cleaning does not work well?
