It's a good story, but I would have enjoyed it more if, throughout the investigations of the main character, to prove her innocence suspicions were cast to various individuals of her environment at the time of the murder! The novel builds well, situations escalate, discoveries are made but wherein lies the truth? I can honestly say I do NOT see that coming as the twists and turns come rapidly towards the very unexpected end.

I have a confession to make.. I haven’t read any TM Logan books before despite meeting Tim at Harrogate and arranging all his blogtours for him through his publisher. The tentative steps she takes to form new relationships with people she meets but also to leave behind habits from prison and also the appreciation of things once considered every day routine! Tim was born in Berkshire and studied in London and Cardiff before becoming a national newspaper journalist. He lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife and two children, and writes in a cabin at the bottom of his garden. I’ve not watched any of his dramas so I’m certainly going to correct this and read more of his work. Why have I never before this? I have no idea except too many books little time.

I live in Bristol and I knew all the landmarks, streets of the areas this author used in this book, it trebled the enjoyment for me as I could recognise these areas in my minds eye. Very impactful.
