About this deal

I loved the aspect of Chase’s story that we don’t normally see in a sports romance. Very interesting to see the male POV and have a bit of role reversal. But their chemistry is as hot as it has ever been and he seems hellbent on convincing her that he deserves another chance. Before they know it the boundaries are blurring until they ultimately disappear.

Lots of mention of bending her over and taking her but it was always so sweet. It was more the fact that he said it repeatedly and it just never happened. I felt set up for some explosive scenes and was just so sweet all the time. She is a brilliant tattoo-covered brunette that is 100 percent his type even though she is definitely off-limits. Since he is in his senior year of college, scouts have been watching his every move and he cannot food to ever get benched for a misdemeanor.

However, fate seems to conspire against her as she is assigned to have her senior athletic internship with her ex’s team. She will now be working closely with Nash, the only man she ever loved but who had left her in a heap in her freshman year. There was mention of Bailey having trouble having Os. His response was amazing, but I expected this to play out in the bedroom, but nope. Immediately orgasming with him every single time. I really wanted it to happen because we never ever see this. Women don’t always have orgasms or struggle to have them, and it would have been so amazing to see this in a book. Chase was the star of the book for me. He’s funny, filthy, protective and honestly hot af. Everything else just felt very drawn out yet not quite fully flushed out. I still enjoyed it because I really do like character driven novels focused on the couple, and I’m down to try the next book in the series when it comes out.no condom - they do talk safety and both say they’ve never gone without protection with anyone else - h is on BC

The only thing worse than having a “one that got away” is knowing you’re the one who pushed her to leave. — Nash It had a lot of potential but I feel like, it could've been even more angsty if Keelan had mentioned their first couple of years together as well-as in Past part and then present. It definitely would've been it.Bottom Line? It was ok. I think there was a lot of fluff that could have been paired down. I skimmed a lot of the last 60%. But I finished. 🤷🏼‍♀️. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The heroine having a hard time having an O was definitely unique and I loved how the hero handled it. For example, there was no “he smiles for the first time” moment OR “i haven’t heard him laugh before bc he’s so grumpy but now he is and it’s magical” moment EITHER.
