About this deal

Ed, Abbie's kind and doting father just wants the best for his little girl but he's not entirely convinced that Ryan is the best, surely someone this perfect can't be genuine. Ever heard the phrase too good to be true? Abbie ended his life with Ed's knife (probably a way of saying Ed defeated him from his grave or Ryan took the souvenir… but it took him). Seeing Ed's slow obsession really sets up the first half of the novel, his adamant that theres something not quite right with Ryan leads him into some awkward situations!

Love makes us blind, it makes us to choose always wrong, forget our parents all these are going on with Abbie too. She too chooses Ryan over her dad without listening … Sadly for her one promise what all she or her family is losing … In 'The Catch', Ed senses something dangerous about his soon-to-be son-in-law Ryan during their first meeting. His wife Claire and daughter Abbie won't hear of it as he's never approved of her exes. However, he's determined not to let her walk down the aisle, even if it means taking risks and going down the dark road.. Ed makes an attempt to like Ryan and get to know him, but his inner radar keeps warning him to take action. He begins to follow Ryan and hires an investigator to look into him. Bit by bit, Ed begins to collect information that alarms him. He doesn’t know where to turn with what he knows, however, and so he continues to build on the cache of facts. His obsession drives him to a breaking point both professionally and personally, but he doesn’t care. No one is going to hurt Abbie ever again. I was fully invested in this book from the very beginning. I loved being along for the ride, wanting to know what would happen next. The pacing was spot on! As Ed searches for the truth, the tension and suspense grew. I could feel Ed's need for answers coupled with his frustrations. I was born in Berkshire and grew up in Reading, the youngest of three boys and a fully-fledged bookworm from a very young age. I read history at Westfield College, part of the University of London, and went on to do a postgrad at Cardiff University.

The book will be adapted for the screen by Michael Crompton (The Holiday, Silent Witness, Safe House, Kidnap and Ransom) with Rachel Gesua, Suzi McIntosh and Trevor Eve executive producing for Projector Pictures and Herbert L. Kloiber and Olivia Pahl executive producing for Night Train Media. The Curfew follows the events of a hot midsummer's night, when five teenagers go up to the woods to celebrate the end of exams, and only four come out... Narration of landscape is beautifully narrated that makes us also to walk along with Ed through his investigation. T.M. Logan always manages to come up with the basics of a realistic scenario, that then spins entirely out of control. The Catch is no different. A father who doesn’t approve of his daughter’s choice of partner isn’t that hard to imagine. In Ed’s case, it’s not just the close bond between Abbey and himself that is causing this overprotectiveness. There is more to it than that, but that’s something you’ll have to discover for yourself.

A teaser shares: “Set against the hauntingly beautiful coastline of the west of England, The Catch introduces us to Ed Collier, a proud husband, father and local fisherman determined to do whatever it takes to keep his family together. I honestly could not rate this any higher. Tim you have worked your magic again, I can't wait to read what's next! The characters in this novel are realistic and appealing - all have their flaws, vulnerabilities and likeable points. I found 'The Catch' to have an orginal plot (even in the world of thrillers!) and to be well-paced.I knew I wanted to write so journalism seemed an obvious choice, and after five years as a reporter and then education correspondent on the Nottingham Evening Post I moved to London to work on the Daily Mail. At the Mail I became the paper’s Science Reporter, covering all kinds of stories from new technology to the environment, space, genetics, health and medicine. I enjoyed being a national newspaper journalist but it didn’t leave much time for anything else – like thriller writing.
