Wewant to offer your child the best possible start to becoming independent readers.Children who read regularly or are read to regularly have the opportunity to open the doors to so many different worlds! More importantly, reading will give your child the tools to become independent life-long learners. Before you start to teach your child, practise saying the sounds below. These are the sounds we use to speak in English. Read Write Inc. Phonics Book Bag Books are engaging texts to support children with additional reading practice outside the classroom. The books are uniquely matched to the existing Read Write Inc. Phonics Storybooks to reinforce children's learning of phonics at the appropriate level, helping them to make even faster progress in reading.

Comprehension activities in each book, including brand new, highly visual 'Retell the Story' and 'Questions to Chat About' Composition and spelling activities for these Storybooks are provided in the Green Get Writing! books Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section 6, we will retain documents (including electronic documents) containing personal data: Read Write Inc (RWI) is a phonics based englishprogramme which helps allchildren learn to read fluently and at speed so they can focus on developing their skills in comprehension, vocabulary and spelling. The programme is designed for children aged 4-7. However some children will need to access this programme beyond the age of 7 to meet individual needs. Children follow the same format as Reception but will work on complex sounds and read books appropriate to their reading level. Daily sessions of RWI phonics last for one hour. Most children should complete the programme by the end ofyear 2 if not earlier.
