The Bullets Wireless Z2 get sufficiently loud, with the maximum volume being uncomfortable to listen to on all but the quietest of recordings. During my testing, the latency performance was good for watching videos as the delay was barely noticeable when paired with an iPhone. Latency on Android was notably higher when using AAC and the audio also took longer to sync when unpausing or skipping but was fine when using SBC. In terms of technical performance, Bullets Wireless Z2 have a moderate level of resolution and detail in the sound. This usually comes down to the choice of drivers used rather than the codec, although a higher bit rate codec couldn't have hurt. Imaging and soundstaging were unobjectionable and offered some space and directionality to the sound that made the overall presentation pleasant to listen to.

The build quality and finish of the headset is very good. The rubber feels pliant and durable, and the plastics all have a quality feel. The rubber for the cables is also striated. The headset is also IP55 rated, so it can survive being splashed with water. Comfort The Bullets Wireless Z2 is a comfortable headset. The ear tips are made out of soft rubber and have the oval design found on the OnePlus Buds Pro and Buds Z2. They fit the ears well and can stay there for hours without being uncomfortable. The Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC connect to your phone using the HeyMelody software, an app made by HeyTap that is a product of a Singapore-based company called Bravo Unicorn. It's the same app used by all OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme audio products and is available on Android and iOS. The OnePlus Buds Z2 offers two noise cancellation modes (Faint and Extreme) that ranges between 25 dB to 40 dB. The earphone is certificated for IP55 dust and water resistant. Please avoid using the headphones during strenuous exercise or while in humid environments. Water damage is not covered under warranty. Sweat resistance follows the same principle as water resistance because the headphones can help prevent liquid, including sweat, from entering inside. We also applied special processing to the innards in prep to enhance sweat resistance capability. However, sweat resistance capability will decrease with long-term use. The Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC have mediocre audio quality by default. The sound is the same overwhelming bass-heavy assault that has now become the OnePlus house sound. That leaves audio quality and the Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC is the latest victim of OnePlus' bad default audio tuning. Thankfully, it is easy to work around it and get a decent listening experience that is adequately good for the price. There is also a Bass preset, which sounds like the Balanced preset but with even more bass, in case you have hearing loss (or desire to get it). OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 ANC has a battery life of 28 hours with ANC off, 20 hours with ANC on and 16 hours of talk time. Endurance test data is based on OnePlus laboratory tests conducted at 50% volume. Specific endurance performance will vary based on actual conditions and is affected by volume, output source, environmental interference, product features, software versions and usage habits.The Bullets Wireless Z2 do not have a dedicated companion software. On OnePlus phones, you do get a dedicated info screen for them but there's nothing here to adjust. Also, even though you can see the firmware version here, there isn't any way to actually update it. The mid-range can be good when it is not being masked by the bass. Vocals have a good timbre, if slightly too warm and stuffy, and can be quite pleasant at times. Any changes you make in the app get saved on the earbuds, which means they get carried over to the next device, even if the device is something like a PC that does not support the app. Performance

With the highs leveled out, the sound is more engaging and detailed. This is especially true at lower volumes, where it is difficult to hear anything over the bass without turning the volume up, which makes the bass even more overbearing and fatiguing.
