About this deal

Your adventures on this unexplored Dinosaur Island will be full of brand new quests, moral choices and news articles. Build a successful Zoo in this lush, fresh setting, and make meaningful choices to shape it! The biggest issue for us is with the gene-splicing mechanic though. Any two animal types can be combined into hybrids. They’re popular with visitors but can’t be bred and so don’t really add much to your long-term expansion plans. We used the gene-splicing facilities instead to clone rarer animals for breeding which is way more important and, also, not entirely at odds with the game’s conservation-based theme. Alongside "50+" aquatic creatures - including sharks, whales, manta rays, dolphins, eels, and seahorses - Aquarium Odyssey promises "100+" new shops, decorations, and facilities, seven new enclosures, plus a new story campaign said to last over 20 hours. So, Let’s Build a Zoo has no multiplayer modes. Still, if you do want to share your adventures in zookeeping, you can always stream or share footage of your playthroughs on YouTube or Twitch.

With incredible fossil discoveries, over 50 new dinosaur species are now ready for you to adopt and showcase to your visitors! From Velociraptors to Sabertooths, so many favourites are available to take in, care for and splice with others! By adding dinosaurs to your zoo, you will have the ability to create more than 10 million animal variants in the sandbox mode - are you ready to make the world's first Capysaurus or Donkey-Ceratops!? It's time to build a zoo! Let out your wild side, and create your own animal empire with this cute, expansive management sim. Import and breed rare creatures, hire the right staff, keep your visitors happy, and deal with plenty of weird and wonderful events. Then try your hand at DNA Splicing, and stitch together over 300,000 different types of animal, ranging from the majestic Giraffephant to the peaceful PandOwl! Still, Let’s Build a Zoo’s comedic approach to zoo management belies just how deep it is. It isn’t perfect and I’d love a patch that halved the number of animals you need for splicing, but seeing your visitors gawp in wonder at your creations is worth the price of admission alone. The moral choices it throws at you, which aren’t all just for the sake of being evil, elevate it even further. If you’ve the slightest interest interest in sim games, you’ll have hour after hour of ethically-dubious fun with Let’s Build a Zoo. Let's Build A Zoo truly lets you go wild, with hundreds of animals to breed and import, tons of buildings, foliage, decorations and path types to spruce up your monkey business, and plenty of staff options for keeping your animals happy, and your guests entertained.Let’s Build A Zoo is just as wonderful on console as it was on its initial release on PC. As with any building management simulator, some controls will never feel completely intuitive moving from mouse to controller, and Let’s Build A Zoo is no different, but only in minor areas. The Dinosaur Island DLC takes all the highlights from the base game and amplifies them in a fantastic addition to an already extremely enjoyable game. Feel like running a zoo, populated with all manner of disturbing hybrids? Ever wonder if a rabbit would still be as cute if it had a snake’s head? I was unsure what Let’s Build A Zoo would bring to the table. I know I had seen it in various places and seen others talking about it. But I didn’t know if it was the game for me. However, I really enjoyed my time in the game. There are obviously tasks and targets to hit, however unlike the usual sim titles. It didn’t feel stressful trying to hit these targets. Don’t get me wrong as your zoo grows you sometimes have to look twice to figure out what to do next. However, there were no frustrations to be had. It is a game that could be enjoyed by anyone and I highly recommend it if you need a little you time away from an FPS. I award Let’s Build A Zoo a Thumb Culture Gold Award! Although with a game that has so much on display at any time, I found myself wishing that Let’s Build A Zoo’s menus were a bit more streamlined. There’s already been two patches that have smoothed things out, but I think some areas like managing your staff or your animals could do with less menu interaction. I can see this sort of thing becoming an unwieldy problem down the line once you have thousands of in-game days. If you need some footnotes, then I’ve got you: Let’s Build A Zoo takes the retro-style of old school Theme Park, and adds a lot more gusto. Players are here to build and run a zoo from the ground up to success. Everything is customizable, from the type of animals you have, to the paths you build, to the amount you pay your staff. Everything, including being a morally corrupt human that PETA would have a field day over. Yes, that is right, you can choose to have the best zoo to ever zoo in Zootown, or turn your animals into bacon. In the additional DLC, you can hollow out your dead dinosaurs for small children to play in. It is devilishly fantastic.

Let’s Build A Zoo is always throwing new things at you without letting the previous stuff get stale." To play this game on PS5, your system may need to be updated to the latest system software. Although this game is playable on PS5, some features available on PS4 may be absent. See PlayStation.com/bc for more details. I would not call myself a seasoned Zoo keeper, although with the number of sims around these days I could probably collect that accolade. However, Let’s Build A Zoo stands out among the many out there due to its pixelated art style. Keep reading to find out how I get on. GameplayThe Dinosaur DLC is a fantastic addition to an already great game and is much of the same set up as your original zoo. You can fly there while working on your current zoo, and with you you’ll take a small stipend to set things up. The different dinosaurs are discovered and gain entry to your zoo through a group of palaeontologists who you can pay to discover more variants of dinosaur. With 51 dinosaurs to discover and display in your zoo, there is a lot of digging to be done. From your favourite stegosaurus to extinct mammals like woolly mammoths.
