When I read I could send a selfie and have my "perfect" foundation delivered to my house a few days later, I wasn't entirely convinced. But in under a minute the brand's app scanned my face and, sure enough, two days later the product hit my doormat. As we add more shades to our Lasting Perfection range, a few shade codes/names will change. During these changes, no change was made to the shade colouring of our original shades, the only change is the shade name/code and introduction of new shades. You really have to get used to the consistency and work out what products work best with this foundation for the best results. As a whole though, I was pretty impressed. Although the shade I went for was a little pale, this Revolution foundation gave a really nice almost airbrushed finish. I took a trip to my local Superdrug because I was after a darker affordable foundation to wear whilst I was wearing fake tan. I wore this foundation for around six or seven hours whilst visiting a theme park. For a foundation that claims to last 16 hours, I was pretty dubious to say the least. Even something as pricey as the Estée Lauder Double Wear starts to separate and go a little shiny after a full day of wear, so I was intrigued to see how this foundation worked. The foundation Fun and cruelty-free brand Too Faced's Born This Way foundation - an oil-free foundation which offers medium to full coverage for a natural and "flawless makeup look", has long been my favourite. It's a buildable formula that easily converts to full coverage, without the dreaded cakey consistency associated with some products. However, if you can find the perfect set of products that work with this foundation, it could be a winner. I sadly, did not. A good, dependable foundation should be great at covering blemishes, easy to blend, and able to last well past your workday. Truth be told, I wasn’t always into powder foundations. I applied the Blur Foundation just with my hands and rubbed it in like a moisturiser. I've tried a lot of foundations over the years in my quest to find something that looks natural while providing decent coverage on the horrendous and painful spots that often pop up on my chin ahead of special occasions. The problem with full coverage foundations is the fact they can look and feel cakey, so it can be so hard to find the perfect one.
