About this deal

Sam Kennedy says: As a mum we have so much to do, especially if you have more than one child! Wearing my baby in this enables me to chop vege, hoover and dust all whilst the baby is either happy and watching everything or whilst fast asleep. I've even been able to breastfeed whilst walking the dog and no one noticed! An absolute must have for any mum. I love babywearing for the bond it gives me with my baby. Apart from the body panel size, Izmi Baby and Toddler Carriers are almost identical in fit and style. But we have added a couple of extra features to our Toddler Carriers: I love using a baby wrap, making it easy to go for walks or hold my baby close to me while I'm doing housework. 5pm seems to be the witching hour in our house, so wearing baby in a wrap at this time means we can all be a bit calmer at the end of the day. This wrap is easy to use and wear, and the price is great compared with other baby slings on the market. Would you recommend this to other parents? So if you’re looking to buy a wrap for a friend or loved one with a newborn, who doesn’t have a local babywearing educator tohelp them, this is a great wrap to go for. Slings are often are stress-tested using weights well above the weight of a baby you’d actually carry in them. Once deemed safe for a certain weight, many brands will often then advertise their stretchy wraps as suitable for very large/heavy babies. Larger, in factthan will realistically be supportive and comfy for you both for long periods.

As a rough rule of thumb: you count as one layer of clothing for your baby, and your Izmi counts as at least another. If you’re indoors, or going for a brisk walk and generating some heat, that’s like adding a third layer. The Caboo + Organic comes in two parts – the first you simply pop over your head like a t-shirt, before adjusting the size using the two sets of rings.

Smaller babies may be comfortably carried in Izmi Carrier beyond 12 months. And if you have a taller/heavier baby, you may want to size up to an Izmi Toddler Carrier sooner, from around 7 months. As an alternative to a single twin carrier, some twin parents do wear two Ergobaby carriers, two Tulas, two Manducas and so on. If you’ve already got a couple to hand then give it a whirl! It will likely feel very cumbersome with four padded shoulder straps and two passed waistbands, but it’s not impossible.

If you’re in the market for two carriers that will do a similar job to the TwinGo, using two MiniMonkey Mini Slings, two Integra baby carriersor two Izmi baby carrierscan work particularly well.

Clotilde Kingsley says: My little one loves being in a sling especially when feeling unwell or teething. It allows me to get lots done around the house with baby settled in the sling. This sling has a lovely stretch, which makes it easy to wrap without too much laxity, I didn't need to tighten or rewrap it whilst walking outside with it. With other slings I have found that with the weight of baby it can start pulling but he had a lovely position throughout our walk. Would you recommend this product to other parents? It can also be worn as two entirely separate carriers. Genius. It’s easier to get on and off than you might imagine, although a little practice and guidance may beneeded. The Twingaroo is closer in design to the TwinGo but can’t be easily worn as 2 separate carriers without purchasing an additional strap conversion kit, so offers less flexibility than the TwinGo & isn’t ideal for babies under around 5-6 months. USING SEPARATE CARRIERS FOR YOUR TWINS It’s billed as suitable from newborn to 12kg (26lbs) each but is really best suited to twins from 2-3 months to 6-8 months. You can wear babies on your front in the carrier from 10lbs upwards, or as little as 7-8lbsusing the infant insert. The TwinGo has an upper weight limit of 40lb (18kg) if you’re wearing one baby, or a combined weight limit of 70lb (32kg) when used as a tandem carrier. Carys Lewis says: I think the Izmi Wrap would really benefit Mums of newborns to have the most as it allows the closeness which newborns thrive on. I did not use it for breastfeeding as my baby was a bit too big to get the positioning right but I could see it would be big benefit to use for younger and smaller babies. There is a limited timeframe on how long the wrap can be used for however which might not make it suitable for all if budgets were tight.
