I know this review is actually kinda vauge (and has the word more in it an awful lot!) but I honestly don't want to spoil it. Our connection is immediate and earth shattering. The stuff of f***ing fairy tales. My knights wear tarnished armour. They’re angels that have fallen into the pits of hell and been baptised anew in blood, emerging devastatingly beautiful but with the souls of demons. Okay also, Ryan coming out of left field and being a mercenary was not expected but not impactful. He had maybe one other scene with Lilly and that was to tell her he approved of the boys.

the guys are all also supper mid characters who don't really have personalities except being hot and good in bed. Loki, Jax, Kai, and Ash—four mesmerizing, damaged, and captivating young men. Each possesses a wealth as vast as Midas, yet their scars run deep, seemingly irreparable.I skimmed this one super fast. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good spicy book but most (like 70%) of this book was smut and I got bored. I “read” it in an hour and didn’t miss any major plot points.

It is so good to see that the guys are even more willing to do whatever it takes to make her feel good and happy... they would burn the entire world for her. I love Lilly - her tongue in cheek humor, no filter, and the way she loves is just pure sunshine compared to her harrowing past. I really enjoyed how she embraced her new life and how she stands toe-to-toe with each of the guys.The story wrapped up nicely for the most part(love the found family aspect) I'm still just confused on a couple things (not main character related) and hoping they will be cleared up when I read the prequel novella. Diving into this, I knew it was gonna be somewhat mysterious but I didn't think I would have as many questions as I do while already making plans to dive into the next book in this series - the cliffhanger in this one is a killer!
