PROTECTS CERAMIDES: Gently cleanses without stripping the skin's natural ceramides, a vital part of your skin's moisture barrier. The experiment presented very clear results. When I lifted the cotton pad, Set 1 (Curel Gel) didn’t remove as much makeup as Set 2 (Biore Liquid). Apply on dry skin with dry hands. Gently massage 4 – 5 times using circular movements. Rinse off thoroughly. Complete your cleansing with facial foam.

I think this is my favourite option because I love a richer texture especially for night time, or as we move into colder weather. Curél Moisture Facial Cream The EU Allergen Free label is for the 26 ingredients identified by the EU SCCS and products will be only flagged if a suspected ingredient is on it's ingredient list. It is possible for cosmetics to contain one of the suspect ingredients without it appearing on the ingredient list due to it not reaching the concentration threshold to disclose it and cosmetic manufacturers choice to not disclose it. To be fair, I tried a separate experiment and gave each test area a good massage. All makeup came off completely. As a result, please note this is only an experimental label that can be best used to possible identify problematic products you have used in the past. It is in no way a perfect identifier nor a predictor in whether or not it will exacerbate or cause fungal acne. It will continue to be worked on as more information and research comes to light. When removing such stubborn product, Curel Makeup Cleansing Gel failed quite badly even after two attempts. Eventually, it was Clinique Rinse-off Foaming Cleanser to the rescue. Yes, I washed my face 8 times that night (4 sessions of dual cleansing).

For the same reasons they are popularly used, they are also commonly avoided. Anecdotally, many individuals have reported that Silicones cause/excerbate breakouts, irritation, cause a feeling of skin being unable to breathe, cause clumping of cosmetic products and find it difficult to wash off. As a result, those who find them problematic are avoiding them and increasingly, cosmetic companies are avoiding them as well. Parabens are a large group of preservatives which are used to prevent bacteria growing in cosmetic formulations. This is the lightest moisturising option and great for anyone with normal to dry skin types. It has a light milky texture, with ceramide-replenishing power. Curél Moisture Facial MilkI made sure the gel/liquid were placed over the makeup with no rubbing action so as to test which works faster. A damp cotton pad is then placed over each area and given firm pressure for a few seconds. Cover with damp cotton pads Step 3: First Observation It contains liquorish root extract and glycerin for a super gentle cleanse that leaves skin impeccably clean without any dryness. It works as hard as the cleansing oil and gel to boost ceramides and protect the skin barrier. It’s beautiful. Curél Double Moisturising Generally speaking, a tube is easier to travel with than a bottle of cleansing oil. However, since I like to travel light, I often transfer a small amount into a travel-sized container.

Are you okay if the makeup cleanser takes slightly longer to work and may deplete faster than similar products in the market? If not, don't worry about it - they do have had one of the longest safety records as preservatives!Curél have three absolutely beautiful cleansing products that are all formulated to protect the skin’s natural ceramides and be extra gentle. There are two options for the first cleanse and one for the second cleanse. Curél Makeup Cleansing Oil (1st Cleanse) GENTLE MAKEUP REMOVING CLEANSING GEL: Oil based cleanser gently and thoroughly removes makeup from deep within the pores while hydrating the skin.

Verdict from Real-Life Experience: Curel Makeup Cleansing Gel isn’t effective against very stubborn stuff. How Curel differentiates from other brands in the saturated skincare market is its emphasis and target on those with sensitive and dry skin. Pityrosporum Folliculitis/Malassezia folliculitis or simply known as Fungal Acne is a persistent acne-like condition that commonly responds poorly to traditional acne-treating methods. Unlike most cases of Acne where bacteria is the culprit, Fungi is the culprit of Fungal Acne (Hence the name!). There are certain classes & groups of ingredients that have been shown to promote and feed the growth of the Fungal Acne, Fungi such as fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates and fermented ingredients. If you tend to favour a cleansing balm over a cleansing oil, this one could be for you. I tend to just see what I fancy on the day! Foaming Facial Wash (2nd Cleanse) Curél is a Japanese skincare brand that pioneered some of the first developments in ceramide-based skincare with over thirty years of research. The products are all designed around the concepts of the ancient Japanese tradition of Double Cleansing and Double Moisturising. I shall expand on both of these methods and my product recommendations throughout the course of this post. The Makeup Cleansing Oil has the most beautiful, silky texture and while it is ultra-gentle and nurturing on the skin, it literally melts away makeup and impurities in seconds. Curél Makeup Cleansing Oil Pardon the blur camera focus of Set 2. Though blur, I’ve observed that it has more makeup removed. The cotton pad below shows you how much makeup was removed from each set. So far, we’ve determined that Curel Makeup Cleanser is slower in removing makeup than Biore Cleansing Liquid. However, this doesn’t mean that Curel Makeup Cleanser isn’t effective because we’ve yet to apply proper cleansing instructions. Usage Instruction
