Here’s where things get really interesting, and not necessarily because of the build: alongside a smaller and more accessible take on 2021’s 75308 R2-D2, 75379 R2-D2 is said to include minifigures of both the eponymous astromech droid and… Darth Malak. Minifigures: x2 Airborne Clone Trooper (212th Battalion), x2 212th Battalion Trooper (4 figures total)It included four of the original Rebel Fleet Trooper minifigures which have always been rare in sets. In fact, they have appeared in no more than four or five sets in 20 years of LEGO Star Wars. Besides the minifigures, the set came with a surprisingly cool speeder with the ability to carry two troopers. I honestly consider this speeder to be one of the better-designed Speeder that LEGO has ever produced. Minifigures: x3 Inferno Squad Agent (three head variations), x1 Inferno Squad Commander Iden Versio (4 figures total) Finer details have yet to be revealed, but with that piece count and price tag, it’s unlikely to be minifigure scale – unless the LEGO Group has opted for a clever forced perspective build that places microscale podracers in front of a minifigure-scale viewing area.
