As for the added “goodies” besides those great hydrating humectants – well, we’ve got some lovely skin-soothers in here, namely allantoin, madecassoside plus madecassic acid (both centella asiatica compounds) and panthenol. The serum also contains moisturising ceramides. Torridon lies in the shadow of three mountains, each of which are considered among the finest in Scotland. Beinn Alligin, the smallest of the three (although by no means small!), as a fantastic ridgeline traverse and some truly spectacular viewpoints. Beinn Eighe is the bulkiest of the three, and walkers are rewarded with spectacular scenery of Coire Mhic Fhearchair, with its cliffs looming over a lochan. It is here that the tragedy of the 1951 Lancaster plane crash that led to the formation of the modern-day mountain rescue teams. But having tried so many wonderful hydrating serums over the course of the past years, I simply cannot claim that this is the one that blew me away. It is just a tad too simple for my 43-year-old skin, I just need a tad more overall by now.
