About this deal

Two right-wing scumbags meet up... Does this remind you of the dangerous buffoon, Boris "me-first" Johnson? This literary bend is probably the reason some readers found the beginning intro to the characters slow and boring -- they were expecting James Bond, not Jonathan Franzen. I personally loved the beginning (and the wrap-up chapter) as it hits all my bells for clever contemporary British fiction. 😍 The Bashkir Horse is a unique horse breed that was developed in Russia’s Ural Mountains. These mountains are incredibly extreme in both temperature and weather. During the winter, the temperatures can drop down to Arctic levels. At the same time, the short summers in this mountain range can be very hot.

Horses with adequate nutrition start building a layer of fat under the skin as days get shorter and nights grow colder. Some horses put on fat readily, while others need more nutrients to gain the extra weight and body fat. River considers his old "friend", Spider Webb, who's gone on to better things, while River thinks about the training they both received not so long ago...We know that the Kabardas have been bred by the tribesmen in northern Caucasus since the 16th century. The breed is based on a combination of three other horses so that they could be kept in herds and move along the mountains. If turnout time is restricted, this can potentially have a detrimental effect on the horse’s physical and mental health and increase the likelihood of stereotypical behaviours occurring. From the beautiful cover art to the captivating illustrations by Micha Archer, Snow Horses: A First Night Story is the most gorgeous book of the season. Sure to win multiple awards, this a heartwarming book capturing the magic of a sleigh ride on New Year's Eve. Few residents of Slough House (a group known as the Slow Horses) last long. Boredom and frustration gets to them sooner or later. They resign and disappear. Problem solved.

A group of misfits, many unlikeables – not all may I say, have landed in Slough House. These people have failed in one form or another, they only land there, in this dumping ground, for reasons no good. They’ve stuffed up operations, blown surveillance or just too drunk. They certainly form an interesting bunch of failed MI5 spies. I'm so glad I finally got around to reading the opening novel of this series. Friends kept telling me how good it was and boy were they right! By stabling horses for long periods of time we reduce their ability to express natural behaviours such as foraging, free exercise and mutual grooming. When we restrict the movement that our horses are having it can cause stress and anxiety. Getting your horse out of their box can include hand walking, lungeing, riding or putting them on the walker. All are great ways of providing stimulation outside of the stable.During the winter, most barn horses are covered in hoods and waterproof blankets. Although these horses are pampered to say the least, their additional human-made insulation is much needed during cold winter days. The first book in CWA Gold Dagger Award-winning British espionage series starring a team of MI5 agents united by one common bond: They've screwed up royally and will do anything to redeem themselves. In Series One, the team are embroiled in a kidnapping plot by white supremacist terrorists, a story which barrels along brutally to the point you’re almost scared to look at the screen. Then in the equally brilliant Series Two, a former agent turns up dead in odd circumstances, leading the team on the trail of reactivated Russian sleeper agents, with a risk-to-the-public element that sometimes gives it gripping disaster movie vibes.
