About this deal

What don't you get ? You have stated in your post the attraction, value for money and they look good, the only thing they won't do that your mate's basiairs will is attract thieves although I doubt the clutch will seize up in the rain either.lol. I bought mk1’s brand new and only got spools. No wooden handles. Think it was the slightly later ones that came with 2 handles but no spare spools. The only reason its this version being shouted about is its a carp badged version of oje thats been available for a while now. Ok its a different colour and you get two mono spools rather than one for pe lines. Looking at the reels the stroke of the spool looks longer than the average pit .... is it 45 mm long or the standard 35mm ???

Perhaps you are a little heavy handed if you don't mind me saying? Also, the emcast is notoriously crap and sal****er use doesn't really relate to this topic as its a carp fishing forum.Weight – 290g – Capacity – 590m/0.31 – Max Drag – 14.5kg – Ratio – 4.7:1 – Recovery – 104cm – Bearings – 6

Just in case anyone is wondering, the Daiwa Emcast Advanced folding\wooden handles fit straight on theseDoubt very much the drive gear would be titanium, probably an aluminium alloy, they do seem very good for the money and if they last as long as my mates freespool Penn's he uses for smooth hounds and tope they will be an absolute steel. I would go as far as to say the ci4 is pretty close to the performance of my aero techs and and the equal of the power aero to say the okuma is anywhere close to it , is a load of absolute cobblers . mine will be here in morning hope there as good as everyone says they are! getting rid of ma shimano LC for them :/ Ive currently three aerlex gt 8000's of which two are goodish the third has been canabalised to keep the other two running when bushes and bearings have failed the two I still use have needed to be sprayed after the plastic started bubbling abroad.

A nice smooth reel that looks ok, but can’t be compared to long standing proven reels... of which I can only actually think of 4, that’s really 2 but both available in 2 sizes. Does anyone know what differences are between the old Penn Ltd Edition reel and the new version out this summer, was thinking about buying 3 but might wait if the problems mentioned are to be resolved and its by no means the worst handle ive seen, who on earth thought stainless or any metal would make a nice material for a handle is beyond me

I accept the penn is a little more refined but that could be classed as over engineering in an item that essentially retrieves line from the water. i cant wait to see those pics Jon ..............if it were me id put my faith in the shimano big blue

Ive got the 7000 size ones had them a year now and they've been faultless that much so I prefer them to my shimannos better reel imhoHey Jon, just replied on the other thread pal, you only just reminded me about that other thread when o read this post. Any advice or help allways apreciated mate, no offence intended and i dont want to read about daiwa rods ive had a truly bad weekend two reels went walkies from my car and ive done this to one of my infinities I remember all the hype when they were first released but, was it all hype or are they as good as first thought. Easy. They are an odd shape a classic T would havr been better. Read my post furthrt down for more info
