About this deal

Combined fuel efficiency: 5,1 l/km (i) FUEL EFFICIENCY AND CO2 EMISSIONS WLTP values: fuel consumption of 5,1 (Vehicle Low - Vehicle High) in the WLTP combined cycle (l/100 km) – CO2 emissions (combined) WLTP: 114 (g/km) - homologation values determined according to the WLTP combined cycle on the basis which new vehicles have been homologated since 1st September 2018, with updates in effect from 2nd January 2022. The values shown are for comparison. Fuel efficiency and CO₂ emission values may differ and vary depending according to factors such as: options, ambient temperature, driving style, speed, total weight , use of certain features (air conditioning, heating, radio, navigation, lights, etc.), type of tyres, state of the road, external climatic conditions, etc. Suitable for all interior walls and ceilings, the matt finish helps hide small imperfections in the surfaces. Now, as I said earlier, Nimbus is a bit more forgiving than a lot of grays that have blue undertones, as it’s tends to read way less blue, but it’s not totally unforgiving. No paint color is, which is why paint is so complicated and the reason people agonize over paint colors for weeks and months! Evaluate your light Suitable for all interior walls and ceilings, easy to apply and dries to an attractive mid-sheen finish.

As long as the plaster is dry we would recommend thinning down the first coat of emulsion that is being used with clean water, approximately 10% e.g. 500ml water to 5 Litres of paint. This will help the first coat of paint go on easier and will quench the porosity of the new plaster. Do not seal the walls with anything else as this could make application of the paint harder. If you ignore this step, and you don’t have furniture/fixed elements that are on the cooler side, you’ll inevitably say something like, the color makes my couch look bad or the gray turned blue/purple! Even still, you want to properly test out your paint color so that you can see how it reacts in your space. When paint colors have multiple undertones like Nimbus, you will typically notice one in low light and the other in more light. Test it out the right way Dries to an attractive mid-sheen finish, so reflects a bit of light to give the appearance of a slightly polished surface You’ll need to identify the undertones in your fixed elements, and if you’re going with Nimbus, they better be blue/purple. So, Carrara marble that has blue veining would go great with Nimbus. A gray couch that was on bluer side of gray would work well with Nimbus. A brown couch is not going to work with Nimbus, unless it’s got a slight purple undertone. Do you see where I’m going with this? As far as I'm aware, for the UK market, the only other grey produced in my vehicle in the 2015 - 2017 period has been Urano Grey.

Leyland Trade Nimbus Grey paint. Leyland Trade paint is easy to apply and the excellent covering power will help you get the job done with fewer coats. Approximate coverage per square metre depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. Strong or contrasting colours may require additional coats. Other than to cause utter confusion with owners, I can't see why VW would decide to change the colour description, can you? Incidentally, the full paintcode LD7RL is what's given on the label in the boot and in the vehicle's maintenance schedule booklet. And Nimbus Grey was the colour I understood the car to be from the very day I bought the vehicle and is shown in the original description for it. Suitable for all interior walls and ceilings. An easy to clean silk emulsion where a dirt dirt resisting coating is required.

First, go around to your fixed elements…your floor (unless you’ve got those classic hardwood beauties) your counters, your cabinet color, your couch, etc. Anything that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon is a fixed element and it needs to harmonize with your paint color. Touching up walls without painting the full wall is not recommended and is very difficult to achieve successfully. Most times the paint will not match unless you have the original paint and even then the original may have faded or become discoloured. Even if you buy the same brand of paint with the same shade a few years later, it may not match completely. Deeper colours will be less successful.

I’d place Nimbus in the medium-light category. It’s got a good enough depth that it won’t be too washed out in a room with tons of natural light, and it’s not too dark either. Colour can look different according to it's surroundings, we suggest you try the colour in situ with a tester pot first. They definitely are the same paintcode because (a) the paintcode (L)D7R(L) for the vehicle is plainly seen on the label in the boot and also at the front of the Servicing Schedule booklet, and (b) I found the odd third-party paint supplier on the Web listing Nimbus Grey also as D7R. The only way to properly evaluate color is to test it out by first comparing it with other hues and properly setting up the swatches correctly.

So, by now you know Nimbus has blue undertones that lean a bit purple. Here’s what to do with that info:
