About this deal

In 1992, NeXT launched "Turbo" variants of both the NeXTcube and NeXTstation, with a 33 MHz 68040 processor and the maximum RAM capacity increased to 128 MB. NeXT sold 20,000 computers in 1992. The NeXT system didn't make it to market by Spring of 1987 as planned - it took two additional years - and in October of 1988 the NeXT system was a company which he himself co-founded just eight years earlier in 1977. Five other Apple senior staff quit to join him.

It was sold with a lot of great programs and a very powerful 400 dpi laser printer. Some technical features were a bit strange (grayscale display, no floppy drive, no hard disk), but were modified in the next generation with the NeXT Station and the NeXT Cube 040.
