About this deal

Moving on to GPU benchmarks, the Moto G42 did well in both 3D Mark Wild Life and GFX Bench, but the Redmi 10 Prime consistently got a better score – meaning that it is better equipped to deal with graphic-intensive tasks such as gaming. Speaking of gaming, we ran Call of Duty: Mobile through Gamebench Pro and the phone is capable of 58 fps at 90 per cent stability on Medium graphics, which is pretty great for its price point. The Motorola Moto G42 is the perfect combination of high performance and affordability. Its sleek design, powerful processor, generous RAM and storage options, impressive triple camera setup, and plenty of connectivity and battery life make the Moto G42 a great choice for those looking for a mid-range phone. Read More Brand The Moto G42 with its IP52 Water-repellent Design doesn't allow spills or splashes get in the way of a good time. Whether you’re going for a run or taking a call in the rain, the one-of-its-kind water-repellent design keeps your phone protected and dry. The camera experience is crucial in smartphones, no matter the price, but, unfortunately, this is where the Moto G42 fails to live up to expectations. The phone is equipped with a triple camera set-up consisting of a 50 MP primary lens, an 8 MP ultrawide + depth shooter, and a 2 MP macro. You also get a 16 MP selfie shooter. The all-new Moto G42 let’s you save all your content, without worrying about space. It has a 64GB storage capacity and supports 1TB of expandable storage, thanks to the MicroSD slot, so that what’s important is always on hand.

Moving on to charging, the charging speeds are slow in comparison to the Realme 9i and the Redmi Note 10S. You only get 18 W fast charging support, so the phone charged from empty to full in 2 hours and 25 minutes, which is quite sluggish by 2022 standards. Motorola Moto G42:Build and design W-CDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access) is an air interface used by 3G mobile networks. It is one of the three different UMTS interfaces together with the TD-SCDMA and the TD-CDMA. The standard provides faster data transfer speeds and allows more users to connect to the network simultaneously. The rear cameras of mobile devices use mainly a LED flash. It may arrive in a single, dual- or multi-light setup and in different arrangements. Furthermore, the aspect ratio of the Motorola Moto G42 is 20:9 so that you can enjoy vivid and crystal clear visuals while watching videos, playing games, or streaming movies online..

Design Information about the dimensions and weight of the device, shown in different measurement units. Body materials, available colors, certifications. Width Indoor images look decent, but if you pixel peep, you will notice some softness. Portrait images come out looking nice with decent edge detection and good colour. In low light, the Moto G42’s images are extremely noisy and soft, even with Night Mode active, which is disappointing. Pixels are usually measured in microns (μm). Larger ones are capable of recording more light, hence, will offer better low light shooting and wider dynamic range compared to the smaller pixels. On the other hand, smaller pixels allow for increasing the resolution while preserving the same sensor size. Of late, Motorola has been launching phones with noticeably slimmer profiles; much to the delight of users who detest bulky phones. The Moto G42 follows that tradition as well. The phone is extremely lightweight; only 174.5 g. It is also pretty thin at 8.26 mm. This makes it one of the more lean and streamlined phones under ₹15K. The phone feels good in the hand, but the edges are slightly sharp which can be a tad uncomfortable.

In our tests, 15 minutes of playing Call of Duty: Mobile drained the battery by 4 per cent from 82 per cent. Viewing Netflix for 30 minutes drained the battery by another 6 per cent from 77 per cent. Battery life is another crucial factor in most users’ purchasing decisions and the Moto G42 has you covered on this front. The phone is equipped with a sizable 5,000 mAh cell with a 20 W TurboPower charger provided in the box. Do note that the phone only supports 18 W charging though. For video, you can shoot at 1080p at 30 fps only on both rear and selfie lenses but the footage is not the best, once again, when it comes to dynamic range and sharpness. Overall, the camera experience is mediocre and it doesn’t match up to some competitors such as the Nokia G21 and Redmi Note 10s. Motorola Moto G42:Battery life A CPU core is the processor unit, which executes software instructions. Presently, besides single-core processors, there are dual-core, quad-core, hexa-core and so on multi-core processors. They increase the performance of the device allowing the execution of multiple instructions in parallel. In daylight, the primary lens outputs decent HDR shots with good colours and sharpness. However, the dynamic range is not the best we’ve tested at this price – details in shadows are often crushed and highlights are often overexposed. There’s a 50 MP mode as well which outputs unbinned images with more clarity but the dynamic range drops even further. Networks A mobile (cellular) network is a radio system, which allows a large number of mobile devices to communicate with each other. GSM

Get the charging and battery power you need to stay connected, boost productivity, and enjoy more time doing what you love. The Moto G42 comes with a powerful 5000 mAh battery and amazingly fast 20 Watt TurboPower charger which gives you unbelievable battery life in just minutes of charging. Now you can refuel in no time and leave your worries about power behind.

Connectivity - Up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage in the Moto G42

In my video loop test, the Moto G42 recorded a roughly 25-minute long time-lapse clip (with 12X speed), which took over seven hours to record. Despite constant pressure on the battery, display, and processor (4G enabled as well), the battery level dropped only to 55 per cent. This is a very good result when we compare it to Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered Xiaomi 12 Pro, which only lasted for an hour and offered roughly 25 minutes-long time-lapse video. The Poco F4 5G survived a little over two hours as the phone stopped recording the time-lapse video in-between to prevent overheating. Let’s start with what is arguably the most important part of a phone – the performance. The Motorola Moto G42 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, a 4G processor, so you won’t get 5G connectivity with this device. This is paired with 4 GB LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB uMCP internal storage. There is only one RAM + storage variant of the Moto G42 in India, unlike the global variant. The internal memory is also expandable up to 1 TB via a microSD card. Budget-conscious buyers looking for an affordable and well-equipped smartphone should take a closer look at the Motorola Moto G42. Besides, the Motorola Moto G42 runs Android v12 operating system and houses a decent 5000 mAh battery that lets you use it for hours on end while watching movies, listening to songs, playing games and doing other stuff without worrying about charging it frequently.. The L2 (level 2) cache memory is slower than L1, but has a larger capacity, instead, which allows it to cache more data. Just like L1, it is much faster than the system memory (RAM). If the CPU does not find the data needed in L2, it proceeds to look for them in the L3 cache memory (if there is such) or in the RAM.
