About this deal

Ultimately, ‘ Do not go gentle into that good night’is a poem that attempts to describe the author’s complex relationship with his own mortality. This is certainly one of the most complex emotions an artist can attempt to describe in their work, and yet ‘ Do not go gentle into that good night’ remains one of Thomas’s most famous poems for how well it succeeds in that endeavor. I honestly forgot how much the ending hurt me 🥲 Bones's reaction when he finds out what Cat did 🥲 Bro, I couldn't handle it 🥲 The pain 🥲 I actually reread a bit of One Foot in the Grave to reassure myself LOL 😂 The references to technology in Halfway to the Grave are obviously dated, so the author modernizes the technology in The Other Half of the Grave. If you're new to the Night Huntress series, I recommend starting with Halfway to the Grave because the entire series is told through Cat's POV. There are many reasons why people might visit a grave at night. For some, it may be a way to pay respects to a loved one in a more intimate setting. For others, it may be a way to connect with the deceased in a way that feels more personal. And for others still, it may be a way to find peace and solace in the darkness. Whatever the reason, night- time visits to graves can be a powerful and moving experience. The principal idea for this poem is that human beings should resist death with all of their strength before the end.

There’s something about visiting a cemetery at night that feels both spooky and peaceful at the same time. Maybe it’s the quietness of the night or the way the moonlight casts a eerie glow on the tombstones. Whatever the reason, there’s something special about paying respects to the dead when the sun has gone down. She is half vampire but she hates them simply because of what a vampire did to her mother. She wants to kill every vampire that will stand on her way and she is doing it with flying colours until she meets Bones.Cat is not your witty heroine.

Sacrilegious Aura ( abjuration, aura, divine, evil) 30 feet. When a creature in the aura uses a positive spell or ability, the graveknight automatically attempts to counteract it, with the listed counteract modifier. An Interior Ministry Soldier waits on the other side of the lower gate, but if you take the path on the right through the high grass and ledges, you’ll find many Senpou Assassins here waiting to ambush you, as well as another on the main path’s ledge. Here you’ll find two of the Interior Ministry Soldiers, but you can drop down to execute one from above, and then take out his friend. Be ready for a big fight when you leave by way of the main door, as the Central Forces have brought a lot of troops with them. The Other Half of the Grave starts with a somewhat ominous note from the author: to make it more palatable to younger readers, the technology that identified it as a product of the early 2,000's has been updated. That's fine. It's a pity it doesn't stop there. The very elements that dated Halfway to the Grave are more robust here, because Frost not only adds technological updates, but pop-culture references too: iZombie, Ted Lasso, and Tony Stark are a few examples. Three properties that will age like milk in the proceeding fifteen years just as beepers have now. Bones intended to kill something tonight, too: more of her ignorance about vampires. Let her see them drinking, dancing, and enjoying themselves the same way humans did. Would do more to counter her mother’s bigoted teachings than a thousand of his lectures could. Lecture is the operative word. Where Cat's perspective allowed for the story's themes to more naturally germinate, Bones perspective lands every "humans can be just as cruel as vampires" message with a bulldozer. It's preachy in a way the previous one wasn't, and not just about that. Bones has several PSA's about some of his actions that act as awkward disclaimers the author probably was asked about in the last decade: What the hell was wrong with him, using a rape taunt against a woman born of rape? It didn’t matter that Bones would never do such a thing, or that Cat had been dead wrong about her part in their argument. He could’ve used any number of other ways to point out her bigoted hypocrisy. His taunt might have seemed like a ridiculously far-fetched example to him, but for far too many women, it was a brutal reality. While this is obviously true, it doesn't read like an actual thought this Bones would have. He's supposed to be a two-centuries old bounty hunter with a devil-may-care attitude experiencing love for the first time — that's why his interactions with Cat were the draw, even if they could be predictable. It's overly didactic for its own good.

See, I TOTALLY understand why this book was recommended to me. It's EXACTLY the kind of sexy, kinky shit I'm into and I really enjoyed it (so thanks!) but then I also recognize that this is a cheeseburger. It was SUCH a cheeseburger that I started to feel cholesterol moving through my synapses and forming some brain version of diabetes. You hold the ones you love close and fight the battles you can win and that, Kitten, is how it is." I have officially joined the fan club. Now, do I love him as much as my beloved PNR Knox, Raphael, or Hawk? No. Not even close. But that's okay. We all know that special moment when you meet your possible love- the dramatic music playing in your head, how you always say the right words, and, of course, wearing your best outfit! Cat's moment was a tad different.... SO. This reread I was on a mission. I was determined to find a suitable alternative for Bones-in-my-head. And I did. Behold, Justin Theroux:
