In 1930-es, one synthetic perfume base with only 2,5% of castoreum was popular, the rest of the formula was composed of anisyl acetate, bornyl acetate, para-cresol, methyl acetate, birch tar essential oil and other compounds. In addition to these fairly simple compounds, a number of nupharidinederivatives were found in castoreum, their total content is about 0.16%, including one specific compound named castoramine. It is believed that the presence of these substances is directly related to the diet of beavers: they are alkaloids' metabolites contained in yellow water lily (lat. Nuphar). Thus the vanilla always remains in the lead in the further process, although in the opening hour the leather also flashes out again and again shyly, before it then completely disappears. The dominant vanilla is a smooth, feather-soft and at no time scratchy feel-good vanilla, which gets rid of its initial animal note, but rather tame and cuddly innocent than seductive. Even the musk, which gradually reveals itself, no longer lends a dramatic twist to this pleasantly sweet overall constellation. This is super long lasting. Side Effect is an EDP and has great projection (about 4ft) for the first 3 hours and leaves a gorgeous scent trail.

Now, as it dries down… some creamy vanilla and cinnamon morph with the rum and tobacco to leave you with a gorgeous smooth creamy sweet boozy tobacco scent. When it first opens it has a slight similarity to the fragrance Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf (except Rehab is smoother, richer, and far superior smelling). Psychedelic Love is more suited for the mature 20-up crowd and performs great all year (except in the high summer heat and/or humid locations).
