About this deal

How do you know what size tyres will fit your bike? It should be easy: buy exactly the same model of tyre as those already on the bike. Of course, this isn’t much help if identical tyres aren’t readily available, if you fancy something different or if you’re looking for replacements in unusual and hard-to-find sizes. Same Propeller to the same RPM: With the same 28x12 PJN propeller to the same RPM and power at the shaft, the StinGR draws 15.7% less current.

The type of tools that help us do this provide something we call mechanical advantage. They are tools like levers, pulleys, and gear reducers. They are applied in common tools that enhance strength, like wrenches, hammers, scissors, golf clubs, hand cranks, pliers, bicycle gears, car transmission, etc.As far as possible, then, use these columns to convert to ISO dimensions and then have nothing more to do with those old markings!

The StinGR is a gear reduction, belt-driven, transmission unit that reduces the high RPM and HP of an RC helicopter motor to the lower RPM torque required to deliver peak propeller performance for giant scale airplanes. A tyre size conversion calculator or tyre diameter calculator are the best ways to get the answers you are looking for. What sets us apart is our tyre suggestion guide. For each tyre size you input our tyre calculator suggests multiple tyre sizes that are with in one inch bigger and smaller of the entered tyre size. Making it as simple as possible to find the tyre that is just right for you. If the rim is not marked with its bead diameter you can read this from the tyre – it’s the one dimension they have in common.

I felt it necessary to design and develop a unit from the ground up since a few of the existing belt and gear drive systems I tested were problematic and certainly not robust enough to manage the torque and precession of 28 to 30 inch propellers. This defines the Work that is being applied on the left side of the diagram, and let's call this Input. It is also possible to find a table of which corresponds to the tire air pressure, and an approximate weight of each bicycle tires. This may largely be a great advantage if, among other things need bicycle tires for a more professional needs or level. Often you can also find a table that says something about a price range for the selected bicycle tires. On the other hand it increases the stress on the sidewall of the tyre. Mountain bike tyres are designed to take this extra stress but road tyres are not. Doesn't absorb moisture – brings you the characteristics of timber without the problems of rotting.

So we reduced the weight of the power system by 18.28% and increased the power-out by 27.21% when both systems are drawing the same current. Additionally, I have written at length about the clear advantage that the new C2E carbon fiber propellers that Falcon Hobby manufactures in the 'Power Systems for Extreme Flight Fanatics' thread here on RCG. The performance efficiency of these propellers can add as much as 11.2% more efficiency to the StinGR power system, bringing the total net efficiency to between 22%% and 25% compared to non-geared outrunnner of similar mass using other types and brands of propellers. The three-digit number after the dash is the more important. This is the bead diameter at which the tyre fits onto the rim. With gear reduction, the difference is that the motion is rotational (angular) which means that the distance (d) can continue indefinitely around in a circle as if there is no floor in the image below, and Input distance continues to drive a shorter Output distance with greater Force. Another reason not to exceed the 2.2 limit on road is that a more bulbous tyre can deflect side ways with a noticeable effect on control and road holding. Conversely, fitting a tyre of less than 1.4 times the rim section will result in a harsh ride and more rolling drag than a larger tyre at the same pressure. Tubeless tyres The main catalyst for the project was the fact that Falcon Hobby in China is now manufacturing 28, 29, and 30 inch light electric carbon props with the C2E designation. C2E props have always provided excellent efficiency relative to propulsive force compared to electric beechwood props and other carbon props designated for electric power.

Pre-machined – saving you labour time and cost, plus it removes the hidden cost of machine downtime. Even worse, the same or very similar markings can sometimes be found on completely different sizes of tyre: 26×1½ and 26x1.5. It might be supposed that these two tyres are both notionally 26" diameter and one and a half inches in width, but 26×1½ is a whole inch bigger than 26×1.5. The answer to this question is where Force comes in. Force represents mass in motion and is the product of mass times acceleration. So, for Force to be a value greater than zero, it must have motion. Electrical power systems have always been efficient, and none-geared 3-phase outrunners can deliver as much as 45% more efficiency than gas engines. Additionally, gear reduction units can deliver as much as 15% more efficiency than a non-geared 3-phase outrunner. The gear reduction of this unit increases the efficiency between Watts-in and Watt-out. This means that there is a smaller margin between the power needed to run the entire unit and the propulsive force the unit develops at the shaft. The former is ‘fractional’, the latter ‘decimal’, and as a rule decimal and fractional tyre sizes that look the same are not. This translates to 15% more flight time with the same power and same battery capacity, or more power at the same flight time with the same capacity. In addition to the various international tire sizes are also available ETRTO list (European Tyre and Rim Organisation). It is precisely this list and these numbers say nothing about the diameter and width of your bicycle wheel, as described previously. Some rims are also now marked according to ISO with their bead diameter and internal section (width where the tyre fits); 622-17 for the size usually fitted to touring and hybrid bikes, for instance. But some manufacturers give the overall width instead. Subtract 6mm from overall width to estimate the rim section, or simply measure the distance between the flanges.
