Stronger With You is one of Armani’s most beloved creations when it comes to their men’s cologne line. With its sweet and seductive scent, it has made its way into many fragrance collections. This cologne was made by Cecile Matton and was launched in 2017. The opening of Havana is soft and hazy with a fresh and sweet scent of tobacco. The tobacco is supported by a few fresh citruses and herbal notes, all adding to that fresh and hazy feeling. Together, they create a scent that’s both sweet and fresh; it almost smells like a warm summer day in the middle of Havana itself. With a name like ‘Havana’, you’d almost come to expect a Cuban tobacco-like scent. And Aramis definitely delivered with this amazing cologne. Hints of vanilla, nutty chestnut, several juicy fruits, and even cinnamon are all present, all working together to create a strong but extremely pleasant scent. Pi is just one of them and it’s a warm vanilla-based cologne. Made by perfumer Alberto Morillas, this fantastic men’s cologne was launched in 1998 and is still relevant to this day.

Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille is described by the brand itself as being ‘reminiscent of an English gentlemen’s club.’ Tonka bean helps to smooth it out some, as does the nicely added suede. However, there is also patchouli and dry oak moss. Varvatos Vintage has an outdoorsy edge and is better suited for the older gentleman. As time passes, the note of tobacco reveals itself. The tobacco is rich, warm, and a little sweet and goes great with the cinnamon from the opening. Along with the tobacco is a smooth scent of leather, which provides both a smooth feeling and an intense layer of richness. Together with the tobacco, they make up for most of the mid of this cologne. Layton is the second Parfums De Marly fragrance on this list and with this one, the scent goes in a fruitier and spicier direction. Made by Hamid Merati-Kashani, this fragrance was released in 2016 and has been a fan-favorite from the house ever since! Herod has a maturity and classiness to it and could fit into office wear much better than a fragrance, like Eros. Still, this one can garner the complements and has all day longevity. This is one of the sexiest men’s colognes, in my opinion.This cologne opens with a fresh scent of citruses and ginger, a fresh spicy note. These notes all ensure a rather fresh opening that makes for a perfect segway into the fresh scent of tobacco. Tabarome Millesime makes use of a fresh note of tobacco. Of course, there’s still that typical tobacco sweetness, but it’s done in a much lighter way. In the dry down, the vanilla starts playing a large role and adds a creamy sweetness to the mix that balances out the spices and tobacco. Still, the tobacco is the main star with its rich and sweet scent, but it is balanced out slightly. We can also find a few warm woody notes in the dry down, leaving you with an overall warm, rich, and sweet tobacco cologne.

Pegasus opens with a sweet gourmand scent of vanilla and almond. Added to this is a powdery influence, and together with the gourmand sweetness, it creates a very unusual and unique scent. It almost smells metallic, but in the best way possible. Many brands have begun emulating Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille and one of these more affordable dupes is a great way to see if you like the scent on yourself or not. However, as is so often the case with luxury fragrances, Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille is a very expensive cologne which is out of many people’s budgets.These ingredients are later joined by a cocoa note, which smells to me like a chocolate powder. It’s a stronger sort of fragrance with decent longevity. Overall, As the fragrance starts to dry down, the scent becomes a bit denser and ‘dustier’. This dusty feeling comes from the dried fruits; they add a rich and deep sweetness, but because they’re dried, they also carry some sort of dustiness with them. Although it might sound off-putting, this dusty feeling is what truly shows the beauty of this cologne. It makes it so much more intense, rich, and even luxurious that it would be a shame to leave out.
