About this deal

The third book in the Vaults of Terra series arrives in French and German. The Dark City by Chris Wraight follows Luce Spinoza as she searches for the now-missing Inquisitor Erasmus Cowl, tortured by a decision between finding her mentor and protecting the Throneworld from untold dangers. First and Only – Print on Demand The End and the Death is the eighth and final novel of the Siege of Terra series. [1] It will be split into an unknown number of parts. [2]

Dorn and Valdor in particular were vastly enjoyable. Sanguinius is not a character I’d written much of, but I had fun with him. He’s an extremely difficult character to write, and a challenge that I really enjoyed. And weirdly, I found an enormous sympathy with Abaddon and the situation he finds himself in – where he’s obviously completely committed to doing terrible things.Warhammer Community: The (Beginning of the) End Is Nigh – The Final Siege of Terra Story Is Revealed (posted 31 August 2022) (last accessed 4 October 2023) Warhammer Community: Dan Abnett Interview – How to Start and Finish the Most Epic Series in Sci-fi (posted 8/6/2022) (last accessed 8/6/2022) Volume two of The End and the Death is coming later this year, but as we revealed last week in an interview with Dan Abnett , there is a third volume coming – and today we can unveil the cover. Ahriman alone can kill a dozen Custodes without breaking a sweat. The Loyalists will need a lot of Librarians to delay him. Same with Typhus. This weekend, the eighth – The End and the Death: Volume I by Dan Abnett – will be upon us, closing out the series in a multi-part spectacular. It’s one of the most important narrative events in Warhammer history, and to make sure you’re all caught up before the awe-inspiring climax, we’ve put together a guide to the major moments.

Warhammer Community: The End and the Death Volume III – The Final Cover Reveal (posted 9/8/2023) (last accessed 9/8/2023)You seem to be under the impression that the Horus Heresy series of books is going to end in a way that radically changes the setting. Warhammer Community: The (Beginning of the) End Is Nigh – The Final Siege of Terra Story Is Revealed (posted 31/8/2022) (last accessed 31/8/2022) Now is the perfect time to catch up on all 62 books from the Horus Heresy . Or, at the very least the eight currently available Siege of Terra novels.* Pushed for time? Get a recap of the events from The Solar War to Echoes of Eternity right here . In one of their most famous tales, the Ghosts intervene in the fractious civil war on Verghast in Necropolis by Dan Abnett. Two hive cities – one loyal, one traitor – wage a never-ending war across the surface, and rivalries within the Astra Militarum threaten to derail the Tanith First and Only’s efforts. Unfortunately, we live in this one, and the fact is that we have a sprawl of plotlines that require resolution (or continuation) before we get to the fun stuff. We are resigned - resigned, perhaps, is not the most positive word, but an appropriate one, I think - to an entire book of character shuffling. We must finish our narrative sprouts before we get our just desserts.

It all comes down to one final, climactic confrontation: the Emperor versus Horus. The father against the son. He’s on his way to becoming something even more dreadful yet, but he almost alone among the Traitor forces is aware of what they’re sacrificing and he hates it! He wants to be the warrior that he knows, and to win by military means – but things are slowly slipping away.” Working out the story he wanted to tell must have been the most difficult part of writing this for Dan Abnett, because we know what should be in this book and can even guess what should be in part two – the shields of Horus’ flagship are lowered, the Emperor, Dorn, Sanguinius and his Custodian Guard teleport aboard. A fight ensures.
