About this deal

Wireless operation: Wireless digital room thermostat that provides a simple-to-use interface. It is battery-powered with a low battery indicator

Have a good read of this document first, just to give you an idea of what you are aiming to achieve and then if you are still having issues with specific evohome products, use my help tips listed below. The Honeywell Single Zone Thermostat is simple and affordable and allows very accurate control of your heating system. The Single Zone Thermostat is available as a stand alone wireless single zone room thermostat that can be used with your existing heating programmer/controller and located in any part of your home. (BDR91 relay box required)

The Honewell T87RF2033 is a single zone thermostat which can be paired to any exsisting BDR91 relay, allowing a connected upgrade from the Honeywell CMT927/921 or DT92e thermostats to be installed in minutes. The HR92s are not bound to the heating control i.e. When they call for heat they are not controlling the boiler. They are just regulating the temperature in the front room when the heating is on. Does that help?Ok, understood. That also means that you won't be able to schedule the front room either, since scheduling requires the HR92's to be bound. Remote Access: Mobile compatibility via A smart phone app- Controls your heating anywhere – Adds scheduling functionality – Requires RFG100 Mobile Access Gateway, See below products Yes you can use a wireless thermostat in place of the built in sensor of the Evotouch no problem, however the existing system you are describing doesn't really make sense to me. So, to bind the T87RF with evohome as a zone sensor please refer to the supplied Y87RF2024 User Guide for details on the locations of the touch areas but follow my procedure detailed below.

Other BDR91’s (you wouldn’t believe how many times we see them installed right next to each other!)

An alternative approach might be to do the evohome online training. This will give you a really good feel for what the evohome system needs and will certainly answer a lot of the installation questions we have. Resideo’s evohome online training is here >>> EVOHOME ONLINE TRAINING<<< Easy Installation: Just Bind to an existing BDR91 Relay and it will communicate with the single zone room thermostat straight away So you are saying that the only HR92's you have in the house are in your "front room" (living room ?) and that you therefore only have one zone, if so, what is your evotouch's sensor measuring in your bedroom if there is nothing for it to control, since there are no HR92's in the bedroom ? It is also very important you try and visualise a path for the RF signal between the evohome Controller and the BDR91(s). If there is anything large and metallic in the ‘line of sight’ the likelihood is that the signal strength will be very weak or simply won’t work.

As soon as you add any HR92's to the system you are in a second mode of operation where every configured zone must have HR92's. In this mode you can't have one zone (front room) with HR92's and another zone (bedroom) with the evotouch sensor but without any HR92's in that room. It's been confirmed by Honeywell support that this configuration will not work.Heating Zone Valve BDR91 Wireless Relay Box turning on at the same time as the Hot Water Zone Valve BDR91 Wireless Relay Box.
