Na de installatie activeer je de SpeedBox door de WALK-knop of +/-/+/- op het bedieningspaneel kort in te drukken (afhankelijk van het model/display). Nu zie je op het bedieningspaneel, voor ongeveer 3 seconden, een snelheid van 9,9 km/u. Dit betekent dat de SpeedBox is geactiveerd. De 9,9 staat voor de theoretische snelheidslimiet van 99 km/u. Afhankelijk van het type motor zal je nu tot ongeveer 35 km/u voldoende traphulp krijgen. Wil je nog harder, dan wordt het sportief doortrappen.
