The Jet's handlebar isn’t extendable, but proved a good height for both parents in our tester family (5’6” and 6’1” respectively) and was one of the highest handlebars we tested this year. It’s covered in leatherette, which is comfortable to grasp, and it’s also water-resistant so there’s no chance of a soggy push during a downpour. The 2019 Jet also has suspension in the front wheels, but the improvements to the 2020 model give the stroller a smoother and more stable ride. 2020 Silver Cross Jet vs. 2019 Silver Cross Jet Colors and Fabrics Does your baby nap comfortably in it? You can, however, attach a car seat to turn it into a travel system, but most parents will prefer to hold off on making the Jet their main buggy until the toddler stage. It’s an ideal travel companion, though, so don’t be afraid to have a look sooner if you’re wanting to jet off somewhere warm in the future.
Miles sadly decided to only nap in his cot after he turned 1, but up until that point he’d snoozed on beaches, buses, the New York subway and in Singapore’s rooftop bars in the Jet buggy. Although we haven’t had a chance to fly anywhere this year (yet) the Jet has been updated for 2020 and Silver Cross kindly gifted me one to road test in the UK over the last couple of weeks.One of the most significant changes Silver Cross has made to the Jet3 versus previous models is how the stroller folds and unfolds. The seat on the Yoyo (compared to the original Jet) seems slightly larger and now that Miles is 15 months old he seems more comfortable in the Yoyo. Although we can’t travel at the moment, we’ve used this buggy every day since I bought it 3 months ago. Can you fold it 1-handed? Yes, easily! You need to push 2 buttons in on the handlebar and then it just takes one move of your foot for it to fold completely. I’ve filmed a short video (below) to demonstrate for you. It also unfolds very easily and can be done 1-handed if you need to. How to fold the Silver Cross Jet Out of the box, the Jet requires minimal assembly and no tools for set-up. It took our tester just five minutes to get the buggy ready to go as all she needed to do was to slot the wheels into place.
Some of its disadvantages, however, are how awkward it is to use the basket due to a metal bar in the middle of it. It’s also made from a material that is wipe clean only, which means you can’t take sections off and pop it in the washing machine like you can with the Babyzen Yoyo.
