About this deal

As with any new Galaxy Note update, you can’t forget about Samsung’s S-Pen which is one of the handset’s main USPs. This time around, Samsung has introduced a bunch of new updates for its S-Pen that are designed to make it more useful in a variety of ways. The clean One UI interface lines most navigation options on the bottom half of the Note 10 Plus screen, within thumb's reach. Everything on the device is well-laid-out. That's, sadly, not the case when extending Samsung's software beyond the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a large 4,300mAh battery cell that, from my testing with the phone, is good for a day and half of moderate real world usage. This isn't as strong as some other flagships, such as the Huawei P30 Pro, which is good for two days between charges, but for a phone with such a big screen and internal spec, I feel is actually good. I never had any battery anxiety when using this device and, well, that's a mark of endorsement from me. In 2020, a midrange variant, the Galaxy Note 10 Lite, was introduced with lesser specifications and features. To get fast charging without the built-in adapter, you need a PPS power adapter and an "e-marked," USB-C 3.1 v2 cable; so far, we haven't seen many of those, and you can assume the ones you already have don't meet that standard. Winner? Draw – both handsets’ use the same CPU; either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 or Samsung’s in-house Exynos chipset. Memory (RAM): It is also important to note here that the power button, which is left-mounted on the Note 10+ along with the volume buttons, now doubles as the Bixby button (more on that chap later).Specifications – Galaxy Note10 & Note10+". Archived from the original on November 12, 2020. {{ cite web}}: CS1 maint: unfit URL ( link) Once again like the Galaxy S10+, the Note 10+ uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset running at a maximum of 2.8GHz. On prcessor measures, it benchmarked slightly better than the Galaxy S10 and the OnePlus 7 Pro. We got 9,843 on PCMark and 11,180 on Geekbench multi-core. The S10+ got 9,682 on PCMark and 11,105 on Geekbench, while the OnePlus got 9,828 on PCMark and 11,012 on Geekbench.

On the other carriers, things are messier. The Note 10+ 5G won't be able to use the fast 5G T-Mobile has installed in six cities; instead, it will use a slower, potentially nationwide form of the network that will feel more like good 4G. Ditto for the AT&T model, where the Note 10 won't use any of the speedy millimeter-wave the carrier has been touting in 19 cities here, just its upcoming slower nationwide network. On Sprint, the situation is totally unclear. This means, if you want access to the US and UK’s growing 5G networks, you will not only have to go with the most expensive model (the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus), but you’ll also have to get a completely different model; the Galaxy Note 10 5G.

There's also one less button on the rails of this year's Note. The power button is now on the left side, as it's been combined with the much-maligned Bixby button. It's a good move. Oh, Bixby remains a completely mediocre voice assistant and the power button's move does take getting used to. But you'll be way more mindful of this new 'everything' button and quit mistakenly pressing it thinking it's volume down. Winner? The Galaxy Note 10+ has more clout under the hood in the form of more available RAM; you can get up to 12GB of RAM in certain Galaxy Note 10+ models. And that is an INSANE amount of memory for a phone. Hell, it’s more than most laptops! Storage Options: One is in business: If you have a secure enclave on your phone protected with Samsung's Knox software, you can now use that data on your laptop within the virtual-machine window. The phone has dual speakers, including a big beefy one on the bottom face, and a nearly invisible one at the very top edge. Also on the bottom, the new S Pen stylus pops out with a touch. Still plastic, the Wacom-powered S Pen is now "unibody," meaning it doesn't have the gold top third the Note 9's pen has. It feels pretty much the same in the hand, though.
