About this deal

Tom Vodden specialises in working with schools and organisations with a focus on behaviour, personal and social development, inclusion and SEND. In his section he asks whether being in school is enough (a reference to one of Eliza's illustrations), whether all children have to go to school and whether school really is the best place for all children. A small extract from his words is: The resolution at the end of the book to all of the various questions was handled neatly, leaving me satisfied. I particularly enjoyed the parts of the book relating to the missing dogs. We are aware of the statement about DIY waste charges from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and await more information from government on the further detail, and how new legislation will change to support this policy. When Sid starts to investigate, the villain throws more trouble Sid's way. This time Sid is accused of abusing his child and taking pornographic pictures which were found in his garden shed. While that does cause a lot of trouble including the loss of his computer and cell phone and the necessity of moving to the Admiral's house, Sid perseveres. He feels that the only way his family will ever be safe is for him to get rid of the villain who is causing all the trouble.

The Refusal is by far one of the most enjoyable Kindle Unlimited romance novels that I’ve chosen to read in a long time. I can't wait to read the next in this series. Janus is an owner of a huge tech business and seen by many as a sexpot, while Jo is a woman in tech just trying to make it. When they meet, so many things happen, and it is such a whirlwind. Often attendance related issues overlap, so it is important to identify school refusal as early as possible. Typical school refusal behaviours On the plus side, there was fascinating information on the technological advancements in limb replacement, both with mechanical, and now, actual limb transplants. The plot did have some very good twists. Even when you think Francis has made an error, it’s lovely to discover he hasn’t. No part of this excerpt may be reproduced or reprinted without permission in writing from the publisher.Scottish-based author Eve Riley was born in Dunfermline, a small picturesque town in Fife. After graduating with a degree in Mathematics, she worked in advertising agencies for ten years before setting up her own market research company, which she ran successfully for twenty years. She then began working I read this sexy fun novel in one night. It was refreshingly written showing the real insecurities from both people in entering a relationship. I loved Jo & Janus' story. Jo's attitude is refreshing because I can relate to it. I like the snarky remarks and her sense of humor to throw people off. I connected with her right away as I do it sometimes too. Lol. Her insecurities as a woman are very valid. We all have something that we are unsire of and overthink. Be it our body, our looks, hair, etc. She refused to get involved with Janus because of his reputation. He was seen as a player by the media. The POV switches every so often when it needed to. I think it's very smart to do it that way. The author, Eve, chose the right moments. Its interesting to see his and hers as the story evolves and what they were thinking at that moment. In the middle, we get the best friend's POV as a surprised. I didn't expect that. Complain of aches, pains or illness the night before or on a school morning, but recover after a short time, if allowed to stay at home

Warning signs of school refusal may appear very gradually. At home, the symptoms can escalate at night but diminish once the child is sure they don’t have to go to school the next day. These signs include: Beg or plead not to go to school, refuse to leave the house for school, refuse to leave the car on school arrival

Following a public consultation held in 2021, and a debate at the Environment and Transport Cabinet Committee, the Cabinet Member for Environmenthas taken the decision to keep the booking system on a permanent basis. While Sid Halley was not my favourite of Francis's characters ever, I really think that the continuation of his story through Felix Francis's pen has made the character stronger and more interesting. I could tell you how the gossip columns roasted me, or how I wasn’t prepared for the limelight. But truthfully? I dropped my guard. And trusting someone like that? Well, that’s the worst thing you can do. His stories include "The Metamorphosis" (1912) and " In the Penal Colony" (1914), whereas his posthumous novels include The Trial (1925), The Castle (1926) and Amerika (1927). Major transitions such as moving school, returning to school during or after a serious illness of self or a family member, or a life-threatening event such as pandemic, fire or flood

Gamble, Felix's only previous novel written solo, displays a slight anxiety at being handed the reins to a horse previously ridden only by his father. The prose was slightly more formulaic than his father's prose, not as velvety smooth. Gamble did not yet display the best years of Felix's life. Refusal on the other hand has rapidly accelerated the horse, has circumvented difficult turns on the steeple chase run, and shows Felix's confidence building, growing towards the ideal set by his father. The slight difference in style (remembering this is a family business) is near invisible; the story as true as any returning hero's story should be. The strapline is 'A story about a child who couldn’t go to school'… I think lots of readers will understand why this book has grabbed my attention. The last time our daughter was attending school regularly (although not without issues) was May 2019. A lot has happened since then... more detail will be in my book due to be published later this year. The sex was steamy when it started but I was glad it wasn’t immediate or gratuitous. And the two of them shared much more during those scenes than just physical satisfaction. Written with an emotional undertone and stress placed on their compatibility as people, I was drawn into their relationship. There's a lot going on in the book, but sadly it came across as rather flat. I really didn't like his wife. Instead of being sympathetic, she is beyond bitchy and one-dimensional. The villain was more thug than mastermind.WINNER OF 12 ROMANCE BOOK AWARDS: Overall winner of the 16th National Indie Excellence Awards and the National Excellence in Romance Fiction Awards for best first book. Winner of the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award. Finalist in the International Book awards. Global Book Award Gold. Francis's heroes are rational human beings. The choices made are rational choices directed by a firm objective philosophy that belies all of Francis's novels. The dialogue is clear and touched with humor no matter the intensity of evil that the hero faces. The hero's thoughts reveal a vulnerability that is touching, while the hero's actions are always based on doing the right thing to achieve justice. I feel for Felix Frances, I really do. It can't be easy trying to carry on the franchise of a beloved writer father. Jo has many insecurities but the one thing she is sure of is getting involved with Janus romantically will destroy her reputation and then her business. Maybe it's time to stop trying. Because if you're going to present a book as belonging in part to another writer, if you're going to use that other writer's name in the title, if you're going to use that other writer's characters, you need to make sure your plot and characters and writing are up to that other writer's level.
